Ministers saving government loans in their individual foreign accounts and keeping the interest accrued before releasing the capital to nation's coffers. In fact, the SC is really wasting time that is why these crooks think they still stand a chance. Where on earth have you seen SC removing democratically elected president and putting in a 70 years old drug baron, greedy and arrogant man as president?   And what does GBC TV does that earns it that so-called sum of GHc100,000 during the time that it telecasts the court proceedings live ?
  
  And if GBCTV makes such huge profits, why must the Ghanaian taxpayer pay for its subvention monthly ?
  
  Until we hold all these gangster-killers accountable for their crimes from 31st December 1981 till date and expunge the indemnity clauses from the constitution, we shall always be held ransom by these beef-witted,blockheaded dimwits who have sought shelter under the Umbrella to continue stealing our resources.

  Akuffo ought to know justice is never blind and that it is mindful of mitigating circumstances, and this case is one of them. Therefore no matter how right he thinks he is, no court could rule in his favor.

The live broadcast has been useful in general and I also believe Ghana's democracy will benefit from the petition and should not be seen as waste of resources. The President and NDC should advise some ministers and officials on how to make public pronouncements. This is loose talk that should not be made by a deputy minister.

Where did we go wrong that we now have 'misfits' as Ministers of State who can make contemptous, childish, illogical and stupid (excuse my French) public statements without reckless abandon? I also heard him say that Nana Akuffo Addo in his childhood used to tell his father (Edward Akuffo Addo) whenever people came to his house for meetings that "Daddy one day I'll also be president of Ghana".   As a Ghanaian voter, I want to ask the legitimate question. I want to know whether this Yamin chap is a Ghanaian or a Fulani herdsman. I need to know his nationality to be satisfied as to whether he is qualified to be a Minister of state in my country or not. I know what a Fulani herdsmen looks like and I know what Ghanaians look like – and between the two options, I can see what Yamin does not look like.
  
  I do not trust that the NDC would really be bothered if he was a Fulani or not because we have reached the point where they dont seem to be bothered about anything good or bad in this country anymore. Even they themselves cannot tell the parentage even of their founder.
  
  I, including 99% of Ghanaians (off the top of my head), excluding Parliamentarians and govt functionaries, are also aware that the so-called Vetting Committee of Parliament is a totally useless body whose only purpose, it seems, is to certify pathetic clowns and idiots of the nature of this Yamin guy to become Ministers only to disgrace us all as Ghanaians.
  
  How was a Minister of State, who can talk such rubbish, be cleared by that so-called Vetting Committee to become a minister of State? Doesn’t this alone justify their incompetence and worthlessness?
  
  These days I am even afraid to read our newspapers not because of their bad English, but invariably because I always come across reported utterances by people like this who have mistakenly been placed in positions of authority who have the evil gift of saying or doing things that would inevitably send my blood pressure into a frenzy.
  
  How could our dear country, the Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumahs own Ghana, have fallen so low from the highest point of grace to under the grass? What could possibly have happened?
  
  Yesterday we had the whole President of this country as well as other well placed politicians, still making snide remarks about the court case even though the judges had had cause in the recent past to warn all and sundry on the consequences of contempt several times. What kind of govt is this? It seems no one in the NDC is in charge or intelligent enough to offer good advice or much more, to set a good example on any issue to anyone.
  
  
  On this issue of the TV broadcast of the case, there was first of all this inept and myopic (what else?) NDC appointed Director General of the state broadcaster GBC-TV, who didn’t have a clue about how to finance the broadcasting of this event. Now this is an event which apart from probably the World Cup, can easily be described as having attracted the interest of one of the largest ever local and international quality audience in our history. Properly and professionally strategized, the telecasting of this event could have raked in advertising, sponsorship and third party income which could have easily outstripped oil revenue for the govt during the period the case was going on.
  
  Meanwhile, that business-timid Director General is still complaining about the loss of revenue of a comparatively mere GH¢100,000.00 a day. Damn!!!!! What at all is wrong with niggers? What this befuddled Director General has done is to literally look the other way when a daily income of 2 to $5 million is there within reach, staring at him in the face and there for the taking. But what does he do? He rather turns around to look the other way and make noisy claims about losing GH¢100,000.00 a day.
  
  Then in wades the buffoon extraordinaire, Yamin, who takes a typical NDC stance of not being able to distinguish common-sense from nonsense. He, in his royal ignorance, coupled with the fear of losing the case, states unequivocally, “…that the Election Petition is needless and a waste of the tax payers money, therefore, the party which will lose the case must be made to reimburse the State Broadcaster for the live telecast.” This statement must singularly stand out to be one of the greatest all-time bloopers of the endless string of drivel coming from the quarters of the NDC. I can almost visualize senior NDC officials clearing their throats and scratching their heads on hearing this one.
  
  Somebody should tell Yamin that the tax-payers are the same ones who are thronging behind eight-inch TV screens and cockroach sounding radios in the markets, in front of kiosks, in offices, at lorry stations, in school compounds, in commercial and private vehicles, in homes and even in hospitals to catch a glimpse or an earshot of the court proceedings. If they thought it was “needless and a waste of time”, why are they and many other people taking the risk of continually absconding from work to follow the trial?
  
  I can understand that Yamins colleague Fulanis would be one of the few exceptions to the general on-going interest in the trial because they would be busy mounting road-blocks in some distant and remote areas to do their thing.
  
  Unrestrained, Yamin goes on further to say that “…irregularities in elections are not peculiar to Ghana alone it happens in every election even in America". I will educate him for free and tell him that ‘election disputes are also not peculiar to Ghana alone, they happen in every election - even in one-party nations like China and Cuba’.
  
  I am not particularly interested in the merits of the petition nor the outcome of the case but as far as I know, none of the contestants specifically requested for the trial to be telecast. If I am correct, then Mr. Yamin, why should any of them, whether they win or lose, pay for the broadcast? Are you alright? Isnt the GBC supposed to be an independent parastatal that can take decisions for itself? Did anybody force them to televise the trial? If so, who was it?
  
  And by the way, what is the educational background of this Yamin nitwit?

  NDC now accepting defeat in this Presidential election petition. From beginning,they argued that there was no irregularities, now they accept there were irregularities. The respondents legal team in their address never quoted a single law from the land to support their defense. I went to my beloved country Ghana to vote in the 2012 elections. I witness an EC official assisting a young lady of a age of about 20yrs who was not disabled casting her vote in the boot. As a citizen and a voter who knew the rules and laws of the election did challenge the EC official even though I was not a party agent. The party agents as well as security officials were all there and saw what was going on and never challenged this EC official. Instead the security official noticed me challenging the EC official made me cast my vote early so as to get me out of the scene to avoid any trouble. This irregularity and many others went on without being challenged because majority of Ghanaians as well as Africans are illiterates and do not know their rights. The honorable judges are there to go via all the evidences given in court to decide in the fair inters=est of the nation and to strengthen our democracy. GOD bless mother GHANA and save us from these corrupt politicians who want power by any means. The battle is the LORD'S.

This took away the dubious work of the "Propagandist" who are parading in the party offices of N.P.P, N.D.C etc. If Mahama looses the case, do we expect him to foot the bills of the live coverage? The answer is a big "NO". Unfortunately those entrusted to administer affairs of the state do so with passion. God save us.

It is always expensive. Therefore, the State should bear the cost. If all the Ministers and Deputy Ministers would stop using Government vehicles for their private activities, including attending unnecessary funeral celebrations at the expense of the Government, there would be plenty of money to pay for the live broadcast of the Supreme Court hearing of the 2012 Election proceedings.
