How mean and wicked can members of a party be to do such a disgraceful thing to one of their own. If NDC can do this to one of their own, then opposition parties should be very careful when dealing with NDC faithfuls.

The sensible thing was to have gone on to 'speak her mind' and then behind closed doors address the issue. My other question is why didn't she have the correct edited version with her? As usual 'boy boy' must carry everything so even ordinary paper also has to be carried by someone else.

The other issue which is the most embarrassing and which I'm concerned about is the way she called her aide's attention. How could a whole Deputy Minister in the glare of cameras and audience call her aide "ssssssss"? Why was she stopping a taxi to run out of the auditorium? This is highly unacceptable and a breach of etiquette and civility.

Not so long ago, she was heard blaming others for forcing her to steal, and now she tries to suggest that someone snatched her edited speech. What a shame! Until she blurted this out, who else knew the speech was the wrong one? Or who knew the content of that edited speech? Couldn't she have just gone ahead to speak without drawing attention to the fact that she heads a staff of incompetent personnel? Rather than praising this holier than thou attitude, it's about time we called on our leaders to learn some simple public manners before they step out to embarrass themselves.

After editing the speech, were the papers too heavy for her to carry them to the location where she was going to address the people? And when she got to the location, she wants to tell us that she did not even have time to check her speech until she was asked to come to the podium to give the speech? Is that what the NDC fool-soldiers want us to believe?

Governance has indeed gone to the dogs and it shows with the level and kind of delivery. The issue which Ghanaians have to come to grips with is that, the affairs of gov't is serious business. It's not a trifling matter. It's not the stage to be engaging in trial and error. It's definitely not the stage for goofiness and the more Ghanaians tolerate such mediocrity, the more the country suffers. Is this Minister saying that, she didn't have a copy of her edited version? What happened to backup? Did she also not look at the speech prior to even mounting the podium to deliver her official speech? Such careless attitude which is steeped very much in the body politic of our country, is one of the reasons, Ghana is not making any headway and under the NDC gov't led by John Mahama, Ghana's developmental fortunes has been put in reverse and moving very fast into the abyss. Until the citizenry begin to punish such mediocrity, these politicians who are supposedly elected by the masses would continue to take us for fools, and seek to explain away such mediocre delivery, such carelessness, such ineptness as lack of maturity on the part of such a minister, as just a little mistake, as just a slip, as being even so brave to communicate from her intuition. Governance again is a serious business and for a developing country, it cannot afford to be toying and goofing around as such.

The president must know that the policitcs in Ghana is not the domain for criminals, and also that the civil service is not the domain for lazy and greedy basturds.

The inccident must be investigated and the people who did this punished.

It will serve as lessons for anyone who enters the public arena to show respect and descency.

This is what happens when you appoint out of college, inexperienced boys and girls who have no corporate or political experience into ministerial positions; a minister who is speaking about cyber crime, has no knowledge of the subject matter but depends on written speeches; nothing wrong with that except she did not bother to go over the speech a couple of times before delivering live.

This is what Ghana has been served; a group of novices with no prior experience at what they are doing even at a lower level. No private profit making company will hire anyone with no experience to do such a high level job. This is an indictment on the president for choosing people based on politics and not on competence to serve Ghana. We are being seriously short changed.

everyhting shows she's inexperienced. she shldnt have even uttered the discrepancy. am sure she's learned somthing from it now an dwill do better next time. but thi sis the way she is, naive and just say anything that comes to her mind. maturity isnt about that. she shld learn to keep some things to herself and or be quiet abt certain things cos it isnt anything that one utters.
