If I may educate him a little bit, a presidential election has ONE SINGLE CONSTITUENCY, called GHANA, with the EC Chairman as it's returning officer. So it doesn't matter whether a party wins one or eight regions, it has nothing to do with the ballot for president. When all the VALID VOTES of Ghana are counted, as will be declared by the SC, who would emerge the victorious, is what we all await. After this then our attention will be turned to the parliamentary disputes, which I believe are over twenty five. We will then know who actually won which region?

Why do NDC propagandists take delight in insulting the intelligence of Ghanaians? Everyone knows that Nana won Ashanti and Eastern Regions, hence the claim that the NPP is an Ashanti-Akyem party. Now we're being told by this NDC hooligan that Nana didn't win in his home region and Joyfm, which followed the elections has reported this as news without calling the guy out. And by the way, the Ashanti-Akyem tag is false. Without gaining a considerable amount of votes across all the regions, Nana Addo couldn't have garnered over 5 million votes, nearly half the votes, in the 2012 elections. Secondly, Ashanti Region alone is electorally bigger than all the three Northern Regions put together. So to suggest that Nana won in only two regions and therefore cannot be president is therefore an ignorant proposition. In fact, make no mistake about this. If any candidate wins massively in Ashanti and Eastern Region and loses by small margins in the 8 other regions, s/he is likely to win the national elections.

I hear many NDC apologists arguing thus: "...how can you win with two regions?". So, maybe you could educate them that it's NOT necessarily about HOW MANY REGIONS, but rather, HOW MANY VOTES, that decalare a WINNER. This line of argument makes NDC folks be seen as ignorant of our electoral laws!!
