If the banks wants to notify central bank or a fraud unit about any withdrwal above 10 thousand cedis, thats acceptable, but to restrict withdrawals all together is unintellectual and crazy. Ghana is a cash society and most business people do not trust checks due to the fraud both within the business community and worse the banks. You can only trust some/most government checks because they can be held accountable.
If you want to buy a car in Ghana, which of the dealers would accept a check? So how many time do you have to go to bank for withdrawal.
The Banks needs to uproot corruption from their ranks first and clean their operations, then we can trust them.
I hope no one reads politics into this.

In addition, you have many people who are illiterate or do not read english. Also what about the rural areas?
NEvertheless, one should be able to take out as much money as they want. Afterall, is the depositor's money, not the banks.
