They shd be suspended for 3 months to put their act together
Unfortunately, they seem too powerful and very connected.
There are no fans on air planes unless the reporter meant propellers powering the plane.
so they are internal fan blade
.....very fascinating indeed !
That's a propeller with the propeller removed for maintenance
Ghanaweb doesn't actually use the pictures from a story, they just grab a "stock" photo that most closely matches the story they are reporting. It is very misleading and annoying once you realize it

We all know accident is inevitable esp.on an aircraft, but why can't u tell us at least something to show courtesy and respect as they do in the States here.
This supposed to be the second time antrak has had similar problem. Air transport is very expensive to run since spares are newly procured and replaced, unlike cars that get their parts or wares altered procured as second han ...

THANK GOD FOR THE SAFE LANDING.
"...unlike cars that get their parts or wares altered procured as second hand." Even this is only practiced in poor countries, not everywhere in the world.
what are those in charge air strip up to.no body care whether the plane is worthy of carrying passengers, they only care about their pocket compromising citizens life. safety of our citizens should be our priority.
Kodzo,
Second-hand parts are used all over the world. At least there are:
Junk yard in the US
Scrap yard in the UK
ARE THESE TINY PLANES BEING USE FOR DOMESTIC AIR TRANSPORT IN THE COUNTRY SECOND HAND OR NEW.CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITIES OUGHT TO CONTROL CERTAIN PRINCIPLES TO MAKE DOMESTIC AIR PASSENGERS SAVE AND SOUND.
People are always making money at the expense of others. Politicians have closed their eyes on issues bordering the citizens. No policy guidelines, no care , no safety measures. they have compromise their credibility with mon ...

ANTRAK RUNS 102 YEARS PLANES .ITS A DEATH TRAP?
A plane with a faulty engine can actually land on one engine. It all depends on duration of flight. Please, do some checks Ghanaians and don't buy into every writing as gospel and please ask questions.
If running on one engine is normal, why then do they have two. Pls don't play with our lives.
Me I know now never to board Antrack flights again.
Phasmida.. Good you have asked a good question. The answer is that when one engine develops faults the other could carry the plane and passengers to safety. Have you ever heard of gliders? They don't even run on engines.

Planes that run on two engines can operate on one in emergency.
,we thanks God for safe landing.
Antrak planes were manufatured on the 5th october 1921
Thank GOD for HIS divine intervention to save this country another disaster.
give thanks to GOD saving the lives of the oassengers and stop blames.
THE CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY SHOULD GROUND ALL ANTRAK PLANES FOR CHECKS BEFORE ALLOWING THEM TO FLY AGAIN. THIS IS ROUTINE AND SHOULD BE DONE AS A MATTER OF COURSE.
This is a clear indication of a catastrophe in the offing. GCAA must wake up and be hard on these airliners before Ghana records the worst aviation disaster!!
It is normal and approved procedure to off the faulty engine to make a safe landing whenever there is a problem during flight. Aircraft engine's propeller blades(fans) that has stopped working is not unusual, but premeditated ...

It is sad they don't understand.
This is an accident and will happen when it happens. Lets tank God 4 wat has happened.
Ghana's Aviation Authority should act and not leave it to Antrak to tell us what happened. What does the "Black Box" say. Antrak is not going to tell us the truth so why is our government not acting?
Ghanaian pilots are the best among their class. Thank God they landed safely. Those who are responsible for the maintenance and the safety of the plane needs to answer tough questions.

Our Air Safety Board must do a thorough examination of the plane to ascertain the cause of the fire. We have to make our internal flights as safe as possible, that means routine and regular checks on the aircrafts.
What is the panic about all planes are designed to fly on one engine if the other failed. That is why the pilot brought the plane safely back.
