All her friends needs to be question especially boy friend , her phone records and the last person that saw her or talk to her . check the school camera, any evident collected from the scene needs to exam . How she was kill can also trace to unsolved murder cases in the country. My Prayers goes to her family and hopefully the murderer will be caught by the name of Almighty God. Amen!

A student's sttatement that she might have got drown is bogus. How do you get drown and move your body to dry grounds?

There is something fishy in this matter. The matter should be investigated properly for the truth to be known. The school authorities cannot absolve themselves from negligence. I will not be surprised if she was murdered either to do away with her for being pregnant or knows too much.

On second thought; human body smells terribly and so how come that no one smelled the body decomposing until last Friday?

A few months ago, a female teacher was purported to have 'reported' or 'handed over' some girls in her school in the Central region to local police. There were some who came on this forum to criticise and condemn her actions.

i argued at the time that there must have been very good reasons why the teacher would take such an action, especially given the fact the the said girls were supposed to have given the excuse of going out during school time to local filing stations to collect information for their science class (without any school escort or tutor support in such an endeavour).

Among other questions, I sought to understand if there were standard operating procedures regarding the reporting of e.g. truancy to the police by school authorities and I wondered why the head of that school had not intervened and the female teacher found it necessary to act 'solo' in the case.

What is the relevance and link to this new story? Here it is: We are told here that this unfortunate pupil 'went missing' on the 3rd of August and it was some of her classmates who "alerted her parents" to her disappearance from the school. Why should it be the pupils "alerting the parents" and not the headmaster of the school in the first place? This does not make sense and clearly shows that either people don't know their roles are simply incompetent and not fit to head organisations such as a school if they cannot exercise their legal guardianship and authority in serious matters such as this one.

To make matters worse, we are being told here that 'presumably' after the parents had become aware of their daughter being missing from school, sought to report the matter to the police "but the headmasters dissuaded them from doing so"!!!

What on earth would make a head of an institution first fail to recognise the import of a "missing persons" scenario, fail to do the right thing of informing the parents and when the parents have found out their daughter was missing and contacted the school, the same head dissuades them from reporting the matter to the police?

What level of incompetence is this? Who is this headmaster and if this is truly the sequence of events, then what gross stupidity and irresponsible behaviour is this? By law, if a person goes missing, as soon as it is established that the person is not found for something which is out of character, this matter must be reported to the police to kick into action a 'seek and rescue operation'.

The word "in loco parentis" as applied to tutors who have students or pupils under their guardianship during school / term time simply means these tutors act like parents (in the absence of real parents) to these kids and therefore have a duty of care to all these pupils and at all material times. That it will take students to bring matters of a missing school girl to anyone's attention and most of all the parents is an indictment of the school and a complete failure of leadership and the chain of command.

If i were the district director of education, I would suspend the headmaster as a matter of course, and begin an indepth investigation into the events leading to the disappearance of the pupil, whilst assisting the police in their investigations. No stone must be left unturned and the murderer (s) must be found and brought before the law and punished.

I comment on these matters with passion because as an educationist myself, and a parent of two fine young people, I try to put myself in the position of the parents who have lost their daughter under bizarre circumstances in their attempt to get her educated so that she can also contribute to society. The nation has also lost a young person who might have become an asset to her community and nation.

I hope the ministry of education and the Ghana Education service will give this case their fullest attention. Personally, I would rather that ministers such as Okudzeto-Ablakwa act fast and seek to get to the bottom of cases such as this rather than going round "preaching" to unsuspecting youth.
