  It is only cheap and uneducated people with rural mentality who are not sensitive to the sentiments of every living human being, who will condone to such primitive nonsense in the name of material and inconsequential convenience.
  
  If the plight of African-Americans, those from the Caribbean and those from Europe, including children of Ghanaian parentage born and bred in Europe, who have lost their natural identity and are forcing to adopt the biological and cultural traits of people who demean and utterly disrespect them is not pitiful enough, then we have a long way to go.
  
  I can bet my bottom dollar that 99% of these children are being adopted by depraved homosexual foreigners who whilst insisting on their obnoxious rights to be homosexuals but cannot have children of their own, surreptitiously and literally go through the 'back door' to virtually steal other peoples children under duress of poverty. And what other better place than Africa where the poverty induced stupidity of some of our people can enable them to 'harvest' 20 children for a dollar or less? If this is not revolting enough to any sane human being, then I rest my case.
  
  I do not have any respect at all for that so-called Minister of gender or whatever because she herself is either a homosexual or a supporter of homosexuality. However I support her stance on this issue even if for different reasons.

What about the child enslavement like the trokosi etc., what about children working as kayaye? We are more worried about adoption in the thousands than widespread abuse of house helps etc in the country. Why doesn't Oye deal with the low hanging fruits first? Go figure!

  This lady makes no sense. When chidlren are adopted in the US they HAVE to attend school and if they are mistreated they can call Child Protective services to help them.

  So it is better for those children that are orphans, in orphanages with no education and no futre to stay in Ghana than be adopted by a family that loves them? And even if they are not loved, will later have economic and educational opporunities (for free) that they would not get if remaining in Ghana?

The Citizens will like Supreme Court of the land knows that ,we recognized President John Mahama as the choice of the Ghanaian Voters as 2012 election is concern.We therefore asking the Supreme court to throw the petitioners diabolic and divisive case into the nearest Garbage cane for GHANA to move forward.

I think this a step in the write direction. The welfare staff in the various embassies should be tasked in collaboration with the social services and police in the foriegn country to investigate the will be adoptors before decisions are made to grant them visas.   Friend of mine adopted a little girl in Ghana and the whole process looked like she was on sale. Unexplainable fees were tacked on here and there. The week they were supposed to leave Accra was the most harrowing: more fees were imposed on them; a "lost relative" feigned concern about the welfare of the little girl and demanded money to appease the Gods; an uncle felt cheated by the orphanage, so he came to the hotel for his fair share of the fees paid by my friend to adopt. He and the wife had to spend 2 more weeks in Ghana and pay more money to change and extend their tickets because the guy who was to sign the passport was bereaved and would not return to work soon.
  
  Glad it is all over. The little girl is now happy and growing into a confident lady!

  This Minister is only invoking the law to thwart the efforts of those who want to help give good future to children who otherwise could be wasted in the Ghanaian society by our corrupt "presidents", politicians and so-called leaders.
  It is not enough to invoke and apply the law as if the laws alone will solve the situation. What social support do the disadvantaged in our society like children, disabled and old people get?
  These categories of people in our socity should be first taken care of even befoe the politicians take their bribes and corruption. Yet this people are let on their own to struggle with any governmental support. Oye Lithur, if you really want to help, rather than just invoking the law of law sake. implement a programme financial support and social safety for these categories of people which should be sustainable and transparent so that we will all know that you are JUST NOT FIREFIGHTING THE ISSUE.
  We need policies and strategies to solve our problems. The laws are supposed to be supporting these strategies and action plans and not for their own sake.
  Do you know how many children are being supported by the uncles, aunties, brothers, sisters, etc? So if these sponsors decide to let these children join them wherever they are instead of remitting obligatorily every month, then you are invoking a law to deprive these children of that care?

There are many more available and people would consider it more if it wasn't such a unbelievable hassle and desire for bribes by the people doing the processing. This sounds like just another way for the government to get more money out of people trying to do something for the poor children of Ghana.
