He has awoken too late to his responsibility to his party and our country. If Ghana was conflagrating, now would be post-Armageddon. At the cost of his own popularity within his party, ex-president Rawlings persisted in his criticism of the government of President Mills on the issues that mattered to him and the country (as he saw it). Statesmanship ought to come from speaking to national concerns in the heat of the moment rather than posthumously. I can tell you that if one off the SC justices had not shamed NPP for not reprimanding Sir John, nothing would have been heard from ex-president Kufour. Kufour's antics is only a face-saving move.
