If it is the will of God that pepeni rigs elections, poison Akan waters , steal our gold and embezzle govt funds , select incompetent and amateur ministers , marginalize the will of the majority through trickery and deceit ,sabotage in favor of chinese and indians all development projects and jobs , ndeny potable water and electricity to the common man ,give us bugga bugga judges who are blind to what is right and turns us all into refugees in our own country, it will be his will when we finally drag him in the streets and cut off his head , in fact these pepefuo are so retarded in their thinking i wonder what they were doing all these years. once upon a time we made to believe all Ghanians are equal and at least the state would protect the rights of the individual but today we see only alajihs are good enough to be ministers and if you are Akan sooner or later you will be persecuted. the pepeni is a traitor and will answer for high treason since he orchestrated the murder of mills so he could take his place . justice we shall soon have and if it takes a war to achieve that we are ready , long live the republic of Akan

THE WHOLE WORLD WITNESSED THIS CASE IN SC AND UNDISPUTED JUDGMENT WILL HAVE TO BE DELIVERED TO SATISFY GHANAIANS AND THE WORLD, NOT ONLY THE PETITIONERS.
REMEMBER THE JUDGES HAVE SWORN TO UPHOLD TRUE JUSTICE WITHOUT FEAR.

I to an extent agree with my learned friends' observations but they seem to have omitted the cardinal issue which is whether the alleged irregularities "were substantial enough to have grossly, adversely affected the outcome of the disputed elections" as far as the NPP are concerned. A mere occurrence of irregularities per se will not be adequate to prompt the Supreme Court to order an annulment of the results or a re-election voting. I will go further to state that even if in the highly unlikely scenario the court finds that there had been adequate irregularities to warrant an annulment and an order for a re-election, judicial precedent indicate that the courts would only make such an order in exceptional extreme circumstances as the fundamental concern usually is to preserve the status quo especially in cases where the newly elected government has already assumed the seat of government. It is considered impractical, expensive and undesirable to unseat a government that is already in governance. As much as this may sound inexplicable to the ordinary person, it is the law. Regional practice jurisprudence indicate that a court has only once in African political and judicial history ordered an annulment of election results and a re-election voting. It is therefore very unlikely that this will happen this time around.

Yes, all that you have said might very well be the case - materiality and pragmatism - I for once happens to believe that if for nothing at all, at least going through the petition would yield incalculable dividend for peace and security for this country going forward.

The facts are that the petition has exposed that our electioneering process, whereas it was satisfactory until this point, left much room to be desired. Elections conduction in Ghana will never be the same, as the judgement of the Supreme Court will also come with recommendations to strengthen and close the loopholes that elections could be rigged. So while some people out there may choose to lambaste the petitioners, their lasting legacy will be to help us conduct tamper-proof elections going forward. For starters serial numbers should mean something, and over-voting will statutorily be defined to mean where votes cast exceed ballot papers issued on Election Day not the number of resident registered voters in an area, which might never be breached since we can never achieve a 100% turnout in any particular election. It was unfortunate Afari-Gyan will intentionally confuse the two. That was the critical point when he lost all credibility for me when he left that definition hanging in the air.

So, at the end of the day, the gift of Nana Addo will be giving Ghana the means and tools to avoid post election violence as it has been the case in many African countries. We avoided the curse and burden of many African countries, and trust me, many will come and study and copy our system. We would have once again set the gold standard for Africa.

THIS CASE HAS IN ADDITION PROVED TO GHANAIANS AND THE WORLD THAT NANA AND HIS TEAM ARE CAPABLE OF PROTECTING GHANA’S RESOURCES BY APPROPRIATE LEGAL MEANS. THANKS TO THE ALMIGHTY.
