The role of the Nurses and Doctors require them to be more tolerant and demonstrate greater patience than the Patients might return.

I hope the behavior of these African Nurses would not become a hindrance in the hiring of other African Nurses in these Hospitals.

They will insult and speak to you like the dirt that they think you are. In the UK, the stories of abuse amongst their own is sad and bad. They are investigating over 55,000 cases. They just caught a British man abusing another man, beating, slapping and pulling him by his ears. The Brits don't even want to do it so bring in foreigners to do it cheaply. In Russia and China, what occurs is even worse. People go mad and end up physically broken. Even to young children in care. Even the staff and managers are falsifying records. There should also be a warning given to the patients who think its cool to bite the hand that's feeding them

The action of this Nurse should not surprise anybody, particularily people of Ghanaian decent. We Ghanaians as a people would do anything for easy money, that is why we leave our peaceful shores for the exciting European Continent to seek our fortunes. But of course most people who leave our shores for work abroad are simply handicapped in handling domestic healthcare jobs - most of this work is allien to the Ghanaian way of life and this really becomes a burden for our untrained workers to cope with. Hence we end up in domestic healthcare abuse cases in UK & USA.

This brings to mind of one Kenyan woman who was brought back to the US by the FBI to face justice. She abused this elderly man in Baltimore and was caught on camera. Realizing the consequences of her actions she fled to her native land Kenya. she was given a 5yr jail term last Summer. Sisters, just be extra careful because they have enough 'rooms' in their detention centers looking , aggressively, for folks like that, I mean ......especially those whose skin colors are ..... It is sad indeed to read this.That is how we treat the aged in Ghana very sad indeed.In Ghana we seem to look at old age as a crime forgetting old age is not a crime but a process that once you donot die early you will also get there someday.If you donot want to be old just pray to die early.In Ghana once our poor mothers get old we start to call them all kinds of names and instead of revering them we call them witches.Please donot let us make old age scary but enjoyable because look back and always remember your years will always continue to add up so one one day you will also be old with it's own health challenges and is that how you would want to be treated?Please have heart for the aged and if you can not handle it then you have no business there.We were all once 10yrs,20yrs,30yrs,40yrs and now 50s and know the numbers will not end there but continue to add up unless you die early and since everybody is praying for long life expect it's challenges such as alzheimers,dementia,eye sight problems,knee problems,wheel chairs bound situations,BP,diabetes,Asthma,impotence, etc.Get to 70,80,90 and see how it feels with all kinds of medications.Always remember the old lady or the old man was once just like you.I think their punishment in this case was not severe enough to serve as a deterent.Thanks.
