No one in diaspora will engage in any form of investment in Ghana till all forms of vices are totally uprooted from the system. How can we invest if
society is charactized with armed robbery, bribery and corruption. To get registration to set up a business to even hire Ghanaians, one has to bribe his or her way out at the Registrar General, and other institutions, a
situation that needs to be addressed with alll seriousness.

Assinman Ba, You have appoint, that is why you are being invited to the meeting so that you can learn more about progress being made. If you know of someone that is collecting bribe, why not release his or her name so we will all know who that one is. This a new Ghana with a new President . Please lets all help. I am glad you said you are from Columbus Ohio. Just go to a restaurant Columbus Ohio and pretend you forgot to tip your waitress. I bet you, you will never get a better service next time. Bribery is every where, they just give it another name in different Countries. Please remember the poor people back home and do all you can to help.

Kwame ma bro are you that naïve? How can you equate a Tip for service to what is going on with official corruption at GYEEDA, SADA and judgement debts payments? I assume you agree with Woyome's payments to a Lawyer at the Attorney General's Office and to a former Deputy Minister of Sports as a Tip for service? It is people like you who will cover their noses of stench and close their eyes of criminality because they want to help poor people whose monies are being stolen by THIEVES in the first place!
If they (Government) wanted you to attend this conference they wouldn't have given you a week's notice as though you have nothing better to do?

It's a very big shame & dissappointing that this present government hasn't been able (to be the first government ever) to create a Ministry of Diasporian Affairs since the formation of the cabinet.
This means to the millions of Ghanaian Diasporians that, all their daily forex contributions in support of Ghana's economy ever since are invicible, not represented, not recognized, not respected & not an added-value accounted to the economy of Ghana.
The sooner such a ministry is officially set up by this present government is all what Ghanaians spread all over in the Diaspora are requesting & waiting for; if our government & all it's missions cares about our fate & welfare.
*****This request comment is made on behalf of all Ghanaians in the Diaspora to the present Ghana government*****

we should encourage them instead of insulting them, its a great idea if only they have any strategic policy behind it.But the problem is the major Ghanaian investment banks are not part of the delegations on the tour for exemple Ghana Commercial bank and that of National investiment bank.I don't Think we need the mutilnational companies to be mining our Gold, bauxite, oil ect. This banks if they are smart could design and strategize programmes for Ghanaians in the diaspora to invest in Projects which they plan to set up or build especially in the strategic areas of our economy, enery, extracting industries and that of manufacturing. We all know that in the west they use two mecanisms to set and fun their industries which are the banks and their stock Exchange so why not in Ghana? This two banks if they are smart would solve most of the problems Ghana is having problems with in her development. Why should Ghana loan 3,5 billion dollars from China while we in the diaspora could raise and invest that amount for our economy just by Ghanaians only in the UK,just UK.

The issue of voting rights of people living abroad and dual citizenship should be central to any discussion and should be the gateway to any fruitful discussion. Without this, anything else will be a serious waste of time.
