There is no point in rejecting the verdict.We have had many election pétitions in Africa,namely Kenya,Nigeria,Uganda and Zambia where all the petitioners failed but accepted the SC verdict in a good faith.What is very interesting to note is that the verdict was never challenged by the petitioners because you cannot challenge declared EC declared results and continue to challenge also the SC verdict.That's is asking for too much.In this case,if Nana Addo loses,he cannot ask for a review,that will mean he does not believe in any state institution and this only disqualify him automatically.This cannot be the case of the President who have been elected legally,sworn in by the Chief Justice as legitimate Commander in-chief and Executive of the government.
It will be understandable for Prez Mahama to ask for a review if the petition is uphold.This is a constitutional right and he can use it just like Nana Addo filed his petition.Looking at these constitutional rights,Nana Addo seems to have exhausted his opportunities whilst Prez Mahama is yet to apply if necessary.In other words,Mahama and Nana Addo don't have the same advantages at the moment.Thank you.

The question I always ask is - why do Civil Society groups clamour for the Supreme Court's Verdict to be accepted and respected and yet FAILED or refused to clamour for the Electoral Commission's verdict to be accepted and respected. Are they both not institutions of state, all backed by constitutional power?

Why is it more important to accept a ruling by 9 fallible human beings as against that of an institution with all the systems in place to check and cross-check sources of error?
