I noticed a clear change of tone and eventually, less and less involvement. He is a nice guy though and I believe he has a lot to offer, now that we all have the business of discussing and contributing to our nation's development and holding the government to account on its promises and issues of governance.

I have very little time and respect for pastors who think they speak with authority on all subjects including areas in which they are most unfamiliar. Dag Heward Mills probably learnt his lesson early and shut up.

Let's hope these pastors will focus on their core business and contribute to challenging our moral standing rather than dabbling in political and partisan gimmicks for their own parochial interests.

This is a momentous and powerful speech from President John Mahama and the views he expresses here will go into the annals of history as a defining moment in Ghana. The sentiment I have seen expressed by some indicate that still many of our people do not understand the workings of the democratic process so it becomes imperative upon those of us who get it to help in making democracy more understandable to the rest. Ghana agreed to go along with the opposition to adjudicate this case and implicitly, we all agreed that whatever the outcome of the process, we were going to accept it as final and not cast aspersion on the winning or loosing side. It is really sad that at such a crucial moment in our history some have chosen to denigrate President Mahama and the NDC even after an independent body like the supreme court has spoken. Is it also their argument that the panel of judges were also all bought by the President? Mind you this is a panel comprising of people with all types of political and judicial believes none of which President Mahama is privy to or could have connived to put in place years before this case for the sole purpose of them adjudicating in his favor. Add to that the fact that some of these judges were actually nominated to their seats by the NPP government and you wonder whether we Ghanaian have not the intellectual capacity to comprehend decisions emanating from bodies like the Supreme Court. I am totally ashamed that instead of concentrating on the content of the President's speech and how it impacts our future, people are still stuck on their own understanding and belief of what the outcome of the this case should have been My advice: if your head is empty and cannot reason then clap your mouth shut because that way you do not end up detracting from progress on the mere possibility that someone as devoid of rationality as yourself might on the off chance believe you and latch onto your misinformation to do something unthinkable. Please Ghanaians lets focus on how we move our country forward, how we make those we have chosen to lead us accountable for their words and deeds and how to move the bottom line up for all of us rather than spend time disputing the work of a respectable body like the Supreme Court.
