STUPID KUFUOR DESTROYED THE JUDICIARY BY QUICKLY APPOINTING 2 NEW EXTRA JUDGES TO REVIEW THE Republic vs Tsatsu Tsikata's case after Tsatsu won the case at the Supreme Court with a 5-4 majority in his favor. Kufuor and Nana Addo, who were bent on sending Tsatsu to prison, saw Kufuor abuse his Executive power by appointing 2 new extra judges to the Supreme Court and asking for a review of the Supreme Court 5-4 ruling. Then, with 11 judges, which was not normal in the history of the judicial world, Kufuor's 2 new judges voted against Tsatsu in addition to the other 4 judges on NPP's side to make it a 5-6 ruling against Tsatsu. So Tsatsu's 5-4 victory at the SC became 5-6 loss at Kufuor's Kangaroo Supreme Court. Thereby, sending Tsatsu to Nsawam. That was the stupid thing shameful Kufuor did to destroy Ghana's judiciary and the SC judges.

If somebody is jailed wrongfully, how can he forget? You lost the case in the High Court, Lost in the Supreme Court and again in the High Court. Yet, you appointed a judge who was in hospital on govt money and another sitting in court that was challenged to change the decision from 5-4 to 6-5. Atuguba helped a lot in getting that decision for you. If he had joined the majority, that would have been the end. You then got Anin Yeboah to use wrong law and Henrietta Abban to jail him in the absence of his lawyer. All these should give you sleepless nights. So your anger is justified.

In the face of all odds, the then Head of state Kufuor, for whatever reasons which can only be known to himself, released this social monster from jail after he had been justifiably put inside by a reputable court of law of Ghana.

Kufuors interference in the matter only led to the suspicions of many ordinary people whose kind are randomly and most times wrongly jailed without any such interfering mercies that, the legal system is subject to and prone to manipulation to the interests of the elite. This overture of presumed mercy dealt a quiet but damaging blow to the court and legal system of Ghana.

That singular act of unforgivable foolishness by Kufuor emphatically proved that point beyond any doubt. Tsikata had misused huge amounts of state money, the loss of which would surely have led to the loss of opportunity, social benefits and increased deprivation for millions of Ghanaians, but yet, this criminal was freely let loose on the streets of Ghana, obviously because by the shenanigans and ruse of the elite, he would pacify some other unknown interest which is known only to and among themselves.

Now this ex-convict lawyer, as ungrateful and as insensitive as he is to the plight of Ghanaians, has regained the full strengths his evil and decadent capabilities and Kufuor now says what?

I can only hope that Tsikata goes on to inflict further damage to Kufuor and his gang to teach them in practical terms that evil is evil. Evil cannot be good just as sin cannot be holy. One cannot or should not compromise his principles or the principles of the state for petty personal whims.

Going by this, ignorant statement, Society will never improve, because no one can be better than their teacher. OF COURSE WE KNOW ALL THIS IS NONSENSE.

We all saw Tsatsu's performance at the, just ended, hearing, AFTER ALL THE HULLABALLO ABOUT HIM, with someone, mindlessly, saying ...EVEN IF THEY DIED, AFTER WATCHING, TSATSU, THEY WOULD BE A HAPPY....., just think of his performance; How he lost his cool, kept asking repetitive questions, etc., in other words, he looked ORDINARY.

This is a man who, in the PNDC days, carved enormous Power for himself, and used that Power to lock away his opponents and perceived enemies. TODAY, he has the balls to criticise another Judge for being Partisan.

We indeed have problems, as Ghanaians, with these fading breed of HAVE BEENS.

Kufuor and Nana Addo, who were bent on sending Tsatsu to prison, saw Kufuor abuse his Executive power by appointing 2 new extra judges to the Supreme Court and asking for a review of the Supreme Court 5-4 ruling. Then, with 11 judges, which was not normal in the history of the judicial world, Kufuor's 2 new judges voted against Tsatsu in addition to the other 4 judges on NPP's side to make it a 5-6 ruling against Tsatsu. So Tsatsu's 5-4 victory at the SC became 5-6 loss at Kufuor's Kangaroo Supreme Court. Thereby, sending Tsatsu to Nsawam. That was the stupid thing shameful Kufuor did to destroy Ghana's judiciary and the SC judges.

Then, with 11 judges, which was not normal in the history of the judicial world, Kufuor's 2 new judges voted against Tsatsu in addition to the other 4 judges on NPP's side to make it a 5-6 ruling against Tsatsu. So Tsatsu's 5-4 victory at the SC became 5-6 loss at Kufuor's Kangaroo Supreme Court. Thereby, sending Tsatsu to Nsawam. That was the stupid thing shameful Kufuor did to destroy Ghana's judiciary and the SC judges.

Just to victimize Tsatsu, Kuffour packed the supreme court of the land in 2006 so to review and over turn their decision and convict Tsatsu. So if Tsatsu does not trust any of the SC judges that Kuffour appointed, do we blame him?
On this petition, all the respected elder statement of Africa, Asantehene, Yaya Boni, Obasanjo, Jacob Zuma, Goodluck and our own Tarzan advised Kuffour to stay above the fray but he did not listen and now he will wallow in shame having opened his wide mouth on this baseless petition. Mark it on the wall somewhere, NPP is going to disintegrate due to the foolishness of its leaders like Kuffour and Jake. The next time that NPP can expect to see any Power will be 2020. Shame on you Kuffour. You should rather apologize to the Ghanaian public for sewing the seeds of mistrust for our Judiciary. Personally, I regret that Kuffour was once my president. This is double standards and I pray Mr. Rawlings does the right thing and ask Tsatsu to apologize and not inflame the situation.

In doing so we take into accounts areas that we have succeeded and of course where we miserably failed. Well, if it is praise for success or blame for failure, the entire system first and foremost receives the padding for a good job done. Alternatively we also expect a rap for a job poorly executed. But as we spend time analyzing we finally skewed our efforts down to the individual actors- since no system operates in a vacuum. On this note, why is it problematic for a section of Ghanaians, if Tsatsu Tsikata and for that matter the director of the Danquah institute taking stock of their gains and loses? As Ghanaians the more we spend time reading meaning or attaching so much significance to what these individuals say after the verdict, the more hatred we nurture for ourselves as citizens. After all whatever, is being said now had no impact on the decision made by the supreme court, and remember it is their democratic right to express their opinion. But what we should rather guide against is the tough language used by Gabby than to the cold demeanor of Tsikata who thinks one of the judges had been bias due to his political lineage. God bless Ghana.

We all know the NDC and the supreme court judges were all fooling Ghanaians by calling for peace because they already knew the verdict way before it was announced. If they knew the case was not going their way they (NDC and SC judges) would not have preached peace. Before the verdict, they pretended to be good and now that they have the stolen verdict they have started their dirty talks and politics. The NDC knows that it's only elections can remove them from leaderships so they have developed a mechanism that will keep them in office for a very long time. And that mechanism is rigging of elections in Ghana. Even though Ghanaians don't like their style of leaderships they will still win by rigging. They do so by bribing all the institutions involved in elections including the EC and the supreme court. If Ghanaians don't take bold and aggressive actions to remove these NDC thugs from office, Ghana will continue to suffer for a long time. Kufuor needs to take partial responsibility for any current distrust for the SC and any of his appointed Justices on it.

That is because he should not have tampered with the team of Justices that acquitted Tsatsu Tsikata when his administration chose to review his case. There is this indelible perception that Kufuor intended to jail Tsikata at all costs that is why he asked for that review and added another Justice who many believe he (Kufuor) knew would do his bidding to swing the verdict against Tsikata.

Even though Kufour pardoned Tsatsu later, the pardon did not erase the bitterness, and the suspicion to tarnish the reputation of the former Law Professor.

We should however not dwell on the past errors but try to help sustain the current stature and renewed respect and dignity for the Court. Justice Anning Yeboah probably was stuck in his perceived devotion to the NPP in his contribution but no one could prove that and should therefore not single him out for criticism.

Let us believe Justice by majority decision was given and we need to honor that and move on in healthier political spirit than we entered the Petition case with.

If Kufuor had anything sincerely patriotic to offer on the case, he should have denounced the comments by Sir John for which the latter was convicted before the verdict, and Kofi Jumah for his comments on the verdict.

In the GNPC embezzlement case where he was on trial for misappropriation of state funds, he asserted that the Supreme Court at the time overturn the trial judge's ruling that the IFC - International Finance Corporation was immune from the legal action of member governments, and therefore the judge could not supaena them to testify on his behalf. First of all, as a defendant in court, it is not the presiding judge's responsibility to determine or compel a thirdparty to testify on the your behalf. It is you, the defendant, who is to convince others to testify on your own behalf not the jugde. Secondly, the IFC and arm of the World Bank, is immuned from prosecution or legal action. Notwithstanding, Tsatu got the NDC appointed justices on the Supreme Court to over rule the trial judge and to compel her to supaena the IFC to testify on his behalf.
When the Attorney General saw this, they were appalled and by the constitution, the President can appoint any number of SC justices and to ensure Tsatsu do not walk free on a technicality, two more justices were appointed and confirmed to the Supreme Court by Parliament. This allowed a review of the previous decision which then led to the over turning and got Tsatsu to answer for his embezzlement. The World Bank, IMF,etc by international law, cannot be drag to court. This extends to the arms of these organizations such as IFC, IDA, etc. Not even in the USA or the UK. A number of US court cases had tried and failed. So for the so-called legal luminary to pour dust in the eyes of Ghanaians show what a con man he is.

angry for what and on what?tsatsu's comment? hahaha i hardly hear from this our ex president,what role did he play at all to help his party both in the elections and the court case as one the leader of the party?mitcheeeew bogus anger he shd go burn the sea,he did jail tsatsu right?thank God the constitution is protecting him like by now he shd have been jailed long ago...he shd sit somewhere quietly and lets think about developing the nation..tsatsu will have been the right person to get angry and revenge as they in govt now but vengeance belongs to God..tsatsu was among the lawyers in the court case so he has the right to say this judge was in favour of this party or not cos during his cross examinationing the petitioners almost all the judges on the panel had the chance to say something so is the npp lawyers can also make statements in favour of their party npp...people lets think a bit,if someone dont like you,cant you see?npp stop this bogus double defeats thinking attutide and restructure your party for another elections may be..Kuffour shd not even comment on this case if not that he is the ex president for his losing party..I having seen or heard dr boom commenting on this case yet and he is resting peacefully...npp spare us Ghanaians our ears ooo toom. its a shame to lose again even if judges from the hague comes down u will still lose hahaha..Ghana needs to move forward,dont bring us back

You evil-minded people should stop reading negative into every comment made by your openents. Let be frank, most Akans are fond of misconstruing others comments, expressions and observations. This does not only happen in politics but also in the house of God (Churches).Base on personal experiences, they do all these things either becuase they are seeking for position or they do not understand what is being said because of their level of education in the english language.
Consider what the so-called sir john has been saying in the media. Are they not issues that could spark anger and problem in the country. Call your people to order and stop issuing unnecessary comments.
