Even if his observation about justice Yeboah was true, there's a place and time to voice his opinion not right after this heated court case on radio and more over when the court handed him the verdict. It tells you he may have studied the law but he lacks the wisdom that goes with it and has lost a great deal of respect, you know?

I do hope we look beyond the statement and empathize the relationship that Justice Anim cultivated with laeyer Tsatsu during the hearing. Indeed, Tsatsu held his own until the end of the trial.in that he is NPP sympathizer. In the West it is not unsual for judges political affiliation to be questioned.

Tsatsu's attack was not for his role in the petition but for his role in getting into Nsawam where he almost lost his life. Attacking Justice Anin Yeboah is his manner of trying to pay back at the judge who, according to him, used an improper IMF statute to convict him on an IFC case. But I think Tsatsu should forgive and forget and let the lord deal with Justice Anin Yeboah. Beside that, there was corruption in their judgement. Why I am saying that is, the case should have been thrown away since, but they kept on dragging it for their own interest. Right from the first second of the case should have been the end of it. After all the president was cut short of his full term in office by 7-8 months. This is were I think they should have change the day of next election by pushing it to 7-8 months late.

As an ardent NPP sympathizer, I would say without hesitation and at the risk of being called a traitor, that however unjust the SCOG (Supreme Court of Ghana)decision,and I believe it is a corrupt decision, it is the best in the interest of Ghana. Can anyone honestly believe we would have been better off as a nation if the decision was to unseat Mahama and install Akufo-Addo or order a run off? The petition has clearly brought out the serious short comings and outright fraud in our electoral system and hopefully reforms will be made so that the next elections would hopefully be clean enough for us to enthrone the actual winner instead of a fraud. That should give us sufficient solace to accept this apparently skewed ruling rather than risk a serious national catastrophe. Who on earth would expect Mahama and the NDC to have the courage and humility to accept an otherwise decision as Akufo-Addo and to a large extent the NPP did? Listen to what they (Tsatsu and Mosquito for example)say even in "victory". We would have been in a different world today. The judges, although expected to deliver nothing but justice and let the chips fall where they may, were very mindful of this and delivered a judgment for peace now and hopefully, reforms for the future. It was unjust but wise decision for peace. Three years is very short and we can have another,r hopefully fairer,shot at it.

So, I believe if Justice Anim-Yeboah did not see any point in the petitioners’ case, I think he would have voted against them notwithstanding the fact that the NPP Administration put him in the position he occupies. Therefore, his guiding sense of the requirements explains his vote. Didn't the EC (Dr. Afari-Djan) himself admit to the irregularities the petitioners prayed the SC to set right, did the president of the SC and his colleagues discount the Audit Company's report and the issues raised about the serial numbers and many other inexplicable issues? Why did they vote to uphold the results the EC declared previously? Is Mr. Tsikate telling us by inference that they voted the way they did because they were placed in their positions thanks to the past NDC Administration? I would like to end on this note: that the verdict is out, the SC has upheld the results the EC declared almost a year ago, so in the interest of peace, I would like to say that all Ghanaians and statesmen for that matter that they should be cautious about their choices of words. Akans say, “Nausea discontinues after vomit.”

The Supreme Court Has Failed Ghana!
I am making the following comments as a citizen of the Republic of Ghana whose interest in Ghanaian politics is driven by the principles of rule of law and the respect for fundamental human rights and freedoms.

I am worried that the Supreme Court per their ruling on the claim of lack of presiding officers signature has endorsed a clear violation of a constitutional provision by a public officer, in this case, a presiding officer. My arguments has nothing to do with the capacity and the authority of the Supreme Court to adjudicate but the decision to dismiss by a vote of 5-4 majority the claim of lack of presiding officer's signature.

Article 49(3) states that "The presiding officer, the candidates or their representatives and, in the case of a referendum, the parties contesting or their agents and the polling agents if any, shall then sign a declaration stating -
(a) the polling station; and
(b) the number of votes cast in favour of each candidate or question: and the presiding officer shall, there and then, announce the result of the voting at the polling station before communicating them to the returning officer"

From the above quotation, it is clear that the signature of the presiding officer must predate even the announcement of the results at the polling station before proceeding to the collation centre. So if there is an admission that some pink sheets were not signed and some were signed at the collation centre and that is not a violation then what is it? If clear rules do not matter then why did we make them?

We cannot under the pretext of rule of law and accepting the decision of the highest court of the land allow impunity to prevail. There is a difference between the claim of lack of signature having occurred and the consequences of that occurrence. It is evident that the violation of that provision did occur and remedial actions were expected from the Supreme Court, so it is very disturbing for the future of rule of law for the Court to dismiss the claim of lack of presiding officer's signature.

Let all those who call for reform and peace appreciate that the reforms will be regulated by law and if an election rule of procedure, a constitutional one at that, can be violated, then why bother to undertake a reform?

We should all begin to put on our thinking cup to prevent massive violations of our electoral laws in 2016 elections. My proposal is for the petitioners or one of them to explore the legal avenue available to seek a review to bring finality to the issue.

Indeed, the SC did not help matters at all. What this means is that in 2016, there would be chaos if care is not taken as nobody will allow himself or herself to be disenfranchised. For Tsatu Tsikata's comment, the least I comment about it. The statement means all those who voted against the petitioners are pro NDC. Should the NPP also go ahead to attack those who voted against them. I thought Tsatu was a respected and intelligent lawyer but I am rather highly disappointed. Atuguba and his cronies have buried the law for their own parochial interest and sheer greed. GOD SAVE THIS COUNTRY.REALLY MIGHT IS RIGHT.
