The Prof WS Alhassan, a dairy cattle nutritionist, has now and suddenly become an expert on Biosafety. There are more Crops people to use than animal scientists - more so that Prof is not a breeder/geneticist.

Hegemony you can only fight with hegemony , tribalism with tribalism , chauvinism with chauvinism and if you dont fight or adopt the attitude of turning the other cheek you run the risk of your children being enslaved or ending up like second class citizens in their own country like indians in latin america today . We Akans realise these ugly truths and the agenda of the ayigbe toxic program and their pepeni / islamic agenda of enslave the Akan ,deny all rights of self governance etc etc . we have no choice but to fight back and even if it means sacrificing a generation in war we are ready . in fact the whole world knows its now only a matter of months when the shooting actually begins as the injustice today is unbearable . they steal our money in broad day light going for loans and taking bribes from all sources but let their partners in crime know we will not pay these loans especially since there was no benefit in any of these things for the Akans and were approved by a minority govt that has no respect for the majority . this govt has lost all credibility , claiming a throne does not make you a king , we do not recognize this govt and its nothing but a pest . Imagine the nations of the west such as the Americans etc better understand us than our so called neighbors pepeni and ayigbe , just analyze the the insults as its an expression of whats deep down in their black hearts of ignorance,we definately have no business staying in the same country talk less same destiny, long live the republic of Akan

  Sadly so, but this time it is not our politicians, but our technocrats (scientists) who are supposed to know better. I have lots of respect for Prof Alhassan, but NOT on this one. He could have advised better, or at least informed that NBC that he is technically deficient to advise on GM Crops. He is more of a ruminant (dairy cattle) man.
  
  Why not pass on to other colleagues in the Crops section to handle and advise on? May be prof too has turned into a politician, to the neglect of his profession - all that he has done his life time at KNUST (Faculty of Agric) and CSIR.

  I hope and pray that those who are busy pushing these GM foods down our throats are aware of the implications and all the medical complications these GM food will bring. Do we have enough money to pay the medical bills and buy drugs as a result of consuming huge amount of GM food? We're talking about a country that can not provide enough water for its people. Yes, we Ghanaians want the easy way out. Yes, use deadly chemicals on your farms if you can't weed. We always want easy solutions to our problems.   Greed and yield is what is driving this project but what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul. Everyone knows good and natural food is like medicine. Some doctors actually prescribe organic food to their patients and I actually know a couple of them who felt better. How long will we follow the whiteman blindly?
  Ghana can develop it's Agric with irrigation and better roads.We can actually create a niche market as there are loads of people across the globe who appreciate organic food. It is a fact companies who 'manufacture' these gm products are putting pressure on governments to introduce this poison to their people. Both NDC and NPP are guilty of this.

  GM seeds should be a no no for us. We aren't that hungry to want to eat food that we all know will be killing us gradually. I have read extensively on GM foods and it isn't good news at all. Even Haiti in their very hungry state rejected GM seeds that were sent to them because of their harmful nature to their already malnurished beings. We are already struggling with all kinds of diseases due to the many chemicals that are being added to our foods as they grow. We should not add salt to injury by going for GM again. Everyone these days is looking out for organic foods even though they are expensive. Why don't we look at natural ways by which we can improve our organic means of producing foods instead of these GM which is almost a poison.
