Hegemony you can only fight with hegemony , tribalism with tribalism , chauvinism with chauvinism and if you dont fight or adopt the attitude of turning the other cheek you run the risk of your children being enslaved or ending up like second class citizens in their own country like indians in latin america today . We Akans realise these ugly truths and the agenda of the ayigbe toxic program and their pepeni / islamic agenda of enslave the Akan ,deny all rights of self governance etc etc . we have no choice but to fight back and even if it means sacrificing a generation in war we are ready . in fact the whole world knows its now only a matter of months when the shooting actually begins as the injustice today is unbearable . they steal our money in broad day light going for loans and taking bribes from all sources but let their partners in crime know we will not pay these loans especially since there was no benefit in any of these things for the Akans and were approved by a minority govt that has no respect for the majority . this govt has lost all credibility , claiming a throne does not make you a king , we do not recognize this govt and its nothing but a pest . Imagine the nations of the west such as the Americans etc better understand us than our so called neighbors pepeni and ayigbe , just analyze the the insults as its an expression of whats deep down in their black hearts of ignorance,we definitely have no business staying in the same country talk less same destiny, long live the republic of Akan

In Ghana today, the love of/for money is greater than the love for righteousness. Quick money without working for it is in the veins of many people.
Some people will even kill people to get their money. It is rather a sad situation we have currently in Ghana.
Just take a lesson at the mess of the last election. Corruption at its highest at both the EC and now at the Auguba's Supreme Court.
Yes it is true to find corruption in any country, but it is too much in Ghana. It is accepted to be the norm of doing business. If one is not corrupt, one will not advance in Ghana.
You want to stop election in Ghana, try to investigate the death of Atta Mills to the presidency of Mahama all the way to Atuguba and his eight judges at the Supreme Court and their verdict, and add the EC and his Dr. Afari-Gyan as a sidekick, then ask if there is corruption of the highest order in beautiful mother Ghana.

During the last election, CI 75 says that those who were not verified cannot vote but what actually happened on the ground? People were allowed to vote despite the fact that they were not verified through the biometric machine. So, will any reforms matter?

You are so right man. If we pass a law and don't enforce the law then what's the sense in passing that law in the first place. Afari Djan and his entire commission are brainless and common sense. Else the first time such a system was to be used, there must be a MOCK elections organized by the EC at one or two of the public universities. From there the EC will be able to identify any flaws in the Biometric Verification system and report it to the manufacturer for it to be fixed before the national election.
Now tell me how hard is it to think like this, and how much will it have caused the country. One does not need a doctoral degree to apply this common sense.
A couple of years back, the state of New York bought new voting machines and before the national presidential elections they used it in New York State local elections first to see the flaws, and YES there were flaws and they were fixed before the presidential elections.
As the saying goes "For lack of knowledge my people perish." I rest my case.

1. People who want to be Presiding Officers should apply to the EC with their CVs.
2. Minimum qualification to be PO should be SSCE or its equivalent.
3. PO should be trained and must participate in Local Government Elections before they take part in the national elections.
4. All POs participating in LGE would be vetted and those who do not meet the minimum standards dropped.
5. There should be appropriate laws making it an offence if a PO refuses or fails to sign Pink Sheets without any written explanation. The offence should attract forfeiture of allowances, a fine of about Ghc5,000 or 6 months in prison or both.
6. No PO should serve in his or her own constituency.
7. All students eligible for National Service during election years must be assigned to the EC to help with the elections. The EC will train them and assign them various duties as part of their national service work.
8. The EC should continue to train political party agents but it is the sole responsibility of the parties to choose their own agents and be responsible for their inefficiencies.
9. There should be a law that makes it mandatory for party agents to either officially protest on the day of elections if they have cause to do so or forever remain silent.
10. Just like the POs party agents who refuse to sign results without any formal complaints shall be committing an offence punishable by law.
