Our attention has been drawn by comments made by the Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur on allegations that President Mahama had deposited 170 million dollars in Swiss Bank accounts and we are not surprised that majority of members in the NDC were against his choice to be Vice President and running mate for the party. The Vice President is indeed a novice when it comes to frontline politics and he should have stayed at the bank of Ghana with his ledger books and calculator instead of venturing into frontline politics.
His attempt to brush aside serious allegations that President Mahama had deposited 170 million dollars in a Swiss bank account with his wife has even ended up creating more problems for the President. The report written by one Pierre Wimhoven of the APN news network never said President Mahama deposited monies at the world bank. The report said 170 million dollars of loans and grants ended up in private bank accounts opened by the President and his wife and that the late President Mills had written private letters to the heads of the world bank and IMF expressing concerns.
Mr Amissah Arthur may be forgiven for being a novice but he is not an illiterate. The problem in the NDC is the inability of its leaders to be honest and truthful .Why is the Vice President trying to fool Ghanaians by twisting the story?
The question is why is the President and his office very silent about these statements by Mr Pierre Wimhoven? Why is the Attorney General not making any attempt to defend the President from this terrible scandal? 170 million dollars diverted into private bank accounts in a foreign country, monies which should have been used to improve our local infrastructure is simply too much.
The private letters written by the late President Mills to the world bank and IMF show that John Mahama and his wife as greedy ,reckless, selfish individuals who put the entire nations finances and international reputation at risk. How can we vote for such an individual to be President and for his wife to be first lady?

The New Free Press can report exclusively that President John Dramani Mahama has promised the embattled Alfred Agbesi Woyome that he will do all he can to make sure he keeps every pesewa of the 51 million Ghana cedis that was paid to him by the state despite the controversy and outcry from the public. This will only happen as long as he Woyome does what he is told and supports his bid to be President. President Mahama said this according to our source who currently is one of the special aides to Alhaji Baba Kamara, Ghana’s Ambassador to Nigeria and a close friend of the President at a meeting of Greater Accra Regional executives and key campaign aides at a campaign strategy meeting at a house not far from the Maritime Academy at Teshie in Accra.

The New Free Press is very disappointed that President Mahama will seek to assist a man who confessed that he did not have a contract with the Ghanaian government yet was paid 51 million Ghana cedis of taxpayers money ,the blood and sweat of the poor masses who toil day and night to keep our country moving. The masses who have no housing but sleep on pavements in our cities and towns to keep our country on its feet. Our hardworking farmers and fishermen and our general work force; their blood and sweat was what was paid fraudulently to Mr Woyome and our President is happy to protect and ensure he keeps this money.
We have no quarrel with the President as a person but as a leader he has failed to lead from the front. His tribal comments about Northeners having to vote for him not because he fulfilled his promises on the Ya-naa case, the schools under trees or the Buipe sheanut factory or even SADA which has died a natural death but because he is from the north is very shallow and disgraceful. He has even failed to honour his promise on load shedding. Load shedding has now been intensified with no end in sight and with elections fast approaching there are various schools of thought that the President and his allies in his party seek to disrupt and plunge the country in confusion and destruction.

President Mahama must show some respect to the Ghanaian people by making a commitment that Alfred Agbesi woyome must return the 51 million Ghana cedis that was fraudulently paid to him. We call on other leaders of the political parties to make a commitment to the Ghanaian people that Mr Wyome and others who have been paid fraudulent judgement debts will not be allowed to get away with it. We must recover these monies and use it to provide jobs, healthcare facilities and quality schools for our children.

Ghana’s supreme court judges collected bribes

The New Free Press is not surprised about the decision of the Supreme court to dismiss the petition before it concerning the 2012 General Election. Anyone who was discerning could see that the Justices led by Mr Justice William Atuguba were not interested in the facts and evidence before it. They spent time deviating from the case and giving cover to the respondents while ridiculing the petitioners.

The New Free Press, thanks to its source working at the Judicial service and also its source at the Flagstaff House information and intelligence unit ,can confirm to all Ghanaians that our Supreme court Judges, namely Justice William Atuguba, Justice Baffoe Bonnie ,Justice Vida Akoto Bamfo, Justice Sophia Adyinyira and Justice Sule Gadegbe sold their verdicts to the highest bidder which in this case Mr John Dramani Mahama, with each receiving 5 million US dollars paid to their bank accounts at HFC Bank, Merchant Bank and Fidelity Bank respectively. This deal was brokered by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu and Mr Ato Ahwoi, on behalf of President John Mahama.

On Wednesday 28th August in the afternoon, when it became clear that the judges were going to rule for a re run of the election, the President and the Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur, together with Alhaji Huudu Yahaya, 1st Vice Chairman of the NDC ,called the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu to call and plead with Justice Vida Akoto Bamfo and Justice Sule Gadegbe who were wavering, not to uphold the petition. After much deliberation and exchanges with the Asantehene, the Judges agreed to receive a lump sum of 5 million dollars in exchange for dismissing the petition.

On Thursday Morning, 6.30 am at Flagstaff House, President John Mahama met Justice Wiliam Atubuga and Justice Vida Akoto Bamfo who were brought to him in a police convoy at Flagstaff House by the inspector General of police, Mohamed Alhassan to thank them and their other colleagues for their willingness to dismiss the petition and to allow him to govern.

The Asantehene’s intervention, is a reward for President John Mahama agreeing to his personal request to appoint his protégé Kojo Bonsu as Mayor of Kumasi, so that their land grabbing operations, which is to own 85% of all prime and around Kumasi before 2020 takes effect.

How come a resurgent NPP that promised so much to all Ghanaians with their all inclusive govt in 2008 suddenly become so reactionary, divisive, exclusive and defencive? Why did the moderates allow the hawks to take over? While NDC since Atta Mills have moved from extremism of the Rawlings years towards moderation, the opposite is true of the NPP. Intolerance has taken over completely. latter day saints like Sir John, Gabby and Sammy Awuku have within a year or so torn into shreds the attractive Eishie party that so much toil was spent in building. Sir John by his earlier disrespect towards Kuffour is only shedding crocodile tears. He could easily be the originator on the assult on Asantehene, because the word decorum dose not exist in his uncouth brain.

Because they want political power at-all-cost,these people are prepared to denigrade important personalities as well as sacred institutions to achieve their aim.

So why should we stop castigating him? He has tarnished the Golden stool and it would only stop if one of the corrupt courts decides in his favour.
