I know that you "these Akan" blokes are just semi-educated, ignorant idiots and morons who can't even read properly and so I shouldn't waste my time writing in response to your mentally jaundiced, ethnocentric and envious outbursts. I am therefore writing this to inform the educated and reasonable people who might have come to read this article and your stupid comments and be misled.

Now, here is what the article says:

"A Drill Ship Coverer 511 belonging to GNPC was sold for 24 million dollars by the Ministry of Energy, and 19 million dollars was paid to defray the debt in 2001."

Clearly, the NDC was not in power in 2001 when the drill was sold. It was therefore not Tsatsu who sold it, as that was never his plan for GNPC in the 1st place when he acquired those drills through his financial wheeling dealing which earned him the accolade of "Financial Wizard". He didn't get the money from govt to buy those drills!

Some of us recollect that it was Nana Akufo Addo that championed and pursued the payment to SC, as he was the AG then. The case was then ongoing in the courts here in London when the NPP took over from the NDC. Nana discontinued the case and agreed to pay SC for giving wrong advice to the GNPC leading to the derivative deals Tsatsu was engaging in in the futures oil market just as Sam Jonah in futures gold went wrong, which also necessitated the sale of the Ashanti Gold Fields. Sam Jonah's losses run into over $300m but no one hears of that even though he personally became very rich somehow playing the field as a state employee!

That case was all over in the papers and I am utterly shocked the current CEO of GNPC has been feigning ignorance about what happened all along! GNPC stinks and that place must be cleared of the top leadership if the Mahama regime doesn't want to be stabbed in the back, as Tsatsu was. The CEO is a hopeless case and, if not a stone face liar, then an ignorant fool who is not fit to hold that post! I was in far away London when that rumpus was going on but I recollect things. Maybe, it was because I had some heated exchanges with some people on Okyeame about what derivative is.

There were 3 drill ships in all which Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP honchos got rid of. Ghanaians attached to them to get experience in drilling oil were thrown out and left to fend for themselves.
