I have never subscribed to chiefs becoming that much involved in active politics if they want to maintain the dignity their offices should carry. If I was the head of the legal head of the Asante kingdom, I would have sued the hell out of the media houses that made that nasty coverage out of business. What Ghana needs now is true journalism. If people falsely accused and demeaned decide to sue the press houses and other individuals, there will be sanity in the journalism we have in Ghana.

It seems a certain loose cannon, possibly a member of the so-called Akyem faction, was responsible. First, they banned Alan from reaching Akufo-Addo to offer his personal sympathies or kudos to Nana on latter's efforts on the SC case. Then they shifted into a higher gear to tarnish the reputation of the Otumfuor.

Meanwhile, Akufo-Addo is defeaningly silent on both incidents to show any real leadership to bridge any gaps, real or perceived between his side and the other. How will he win the full support from all the Party then?

During the electioneering campaign it is said that he received a vehicle from the NDC government. Now his name has popped up in the bribery case in support of NDC. I respect Asantehene but also i want to be sure that he did not do this thing. Ghanaian Chiefs are corrupt too. Asanteman should first do a through investigation before they comment on this matter otherwise there will be egg on their faces one day.
