How on earth could individuals trespass on someone else's property and assault people in the property? Why have we lost so much respect for ourselves and for people who have different opinions? It is sadly very clear that, we need 'leaders' and not politicians to direct the country. John Mahama was made President 4 janaury by the SC in front of Asantehene.
Asantehene wouldnt have gone to John Mahama swearing in if he didnt think JM won the elections.
How foolish will ghana look if 9 judges breaks the Supreme Court decision. Nobody can ever change our SC decision and that should be the message not bribing judges. Ghana's so-called journalists have been brazenly publishing damaging rumours, gossip, innuendo, profane and vulgar stories without even one single, verified attribution, and above all, any concern for the reputations of the subjects of their stories. Perhaps the threat of punitive action in this current scandalous case involving Otumfuor will end the impunity.

One hopes also that owners of Ghana's media establishments will institute the necessary internal measures to review stories before they go on publication. Journalists must also be supervised on how they edit quotes from their subjects. Very often what a subject of an interview says and what is published are two totally different versions. A recent example was when a politician denied unsubstantiated accusations of unaccountability with party funds, and an unprofessional journalist edited the subject's words and published: Politician says "I am not a thief"! Thanks to Otumfuor, the days of impunity will come at a high price.
