Dr. Afari Gyan has supervised elctions in this country after 1992 and two of these have been won by the NPP. They found no problems with the ones they won.

Now that their careless talk and complacency has led them to two electoral defeats plus a judicial one from the country's highest Court, they are now talking of setting up a council to advise the President on who to choose as the next Chair of the EC.

Mr. Lamptey, it is not only a bad refress who spoils a match. The same can be said of a bad opponent. When an opponent sees a match as good only when he wins, then there is something seriously wrong with the opponent. Unfortunately, Mr. Lamptey, this is a fact you are refusing to learn.

Every system (including Ghana's electoral system) in civilised society requires reforms from time to time. We are duty bound to make reforms but please, Mr. Lamptey, learn to accept defeat and respect the will of the majority of Ghanaians, and the judgement of the Supreme Court.

I do not understand why NPP thinks if there is war in Ghana they will win, they have no choice but to accept the verdict. The same EC declared them wins in 2000, and they were OK, anytime the lost elections they blame the EC.

Please, remember that no one single party, be it NDC or NPP, within a democracy, shall ever rule 50 years and above continuously without a change. Whatever happens, NDC will go and a new party will emerge. If done correctly, Ghana will survive any political hurricane. The whole idea that the Chairman of EC alone can change our electoral system is spurious. If the appointee is from the North, problem; from Volta Region, problem, from Akan land, problem. Morever, if the staff at EC are partisan and polarized along party lines, then the losing parties in every election are going to view results as rigged. Corruption, nepotism and favoritism have so much enterenched in our society that even the appointments or hiring of EC staff are going to be shaped along criteria that are devoid of qualification and competence. I'm afraid, the average Ghanaian is caught between the rock and deep sea when it comes to politics.

Now they want to have a say in choosing the EC when it is NDC's turn to make a choice.

This NPP party never ceases to suprise people with selective justice.

Have you forgotten the NPP first chose violence but when they realized that the majority in the country were stronger and better positioned than them, they took up litigation and when the evidence in court was not adding up, they took up intimidation by saying there will be NO PEACE without JUSTICE first. But there was already JUSTICE as MAHAMA won the elections fairly. There was no war when Mahama was declared winner by the EC so it is the INJUSTICE of declaring ADDO the winner through the court that will bring WAR so the correct VERDICT was for the case to be dismissed and thereby maintaining the peace. How can you win elections through the back door? BUSHMEN!!!

I am beginning to wonder if this party will ever move forward. Concentrating on unimportant issues will not win the NPP power. You see there was a fixation with biometric voting before 2012, to the neglect of other important issues such as selection of dedicated and well trained polling agents. We all saw the outcome. Now the NPP has made the EC Chair their next issue for an election that is coming up in 2016. Will this gain votes for the party. Remember, Afari Djan did not by himself add any votes for Mahama. So how will the selection of the EC Chair by IPAC help the NPP. Are there any serious thinkers in this party. Is there any strategic thinking going on to assess what the major issues are and how to tackle them? The leadership, for me a floating voter, is not showing any leadership qualities to ensure I can trust them to rule this country.

from my youthful days up to now, I don't understand why the Almighty God should allow the up/npp people be in our country and disturbing every body up to now? my hate for these evil and demonic people started when I became a member of the young pioneer movement. these species never gave our first president Kwame Nkrumah the peace of mind to finish developing our country. they chased him with bombs with the intent to assassinate him and in the process a lot of innocent Ghanaians including school children lost their lives as a result of the bombings. they used the late general afrifa and kotoka to oust him in a bloody coup d'état on 24th February 1966. they have not still given up their evil and demonic tendencies against our country as at today. upon all the noises they have been making, when they had the chance to rule this country on two occasions we saw the rot and stinking records they left behind. they are always interested in what mother Ghana can do for them and not what they can do for mother Ghana. they depleted our state coffers, sold government lands, bungalows as well as the properties of the Ghana airways to themselves and their cronies. just look at the disgraceful way they sold the GNPC drilling ship without the involvement of the AG'S office, the bank of Ghana and the reps from the GNPC. very disgraceful. if I have the power of thunder I would have ordered it to struck all of them into stupidity. these people do they believe that there is God? I don't think so.

Believe me! these same rogues will be the first to critize the Mahama's administration for lack of performance. Akuffo Addo wants this office of president BY ALL MEANS and so chose that way to delay the process of his party choosing a possible successor. Remember "ALL DIE BE DIE"
