This paper reported that Dr Ekow Spio Garbrah will be challenging Mahama for the NDC flagbearership and when he denied it, it's now some Fante and other groups. This is no different from what the pro NDC media did to Nana-Akufo by fabricating stories of conflict within the NPP, especially (mis)using Ex-President Kufuor's or Alan Kyeremanteng's name. That was just to foment disunity within NPP and that is exactly what the New Statesman is also doing. This is to reflect attention from NPP's argument over who should be the party in 2016. It's very clever.

This will probably strengthen Mahama's position rather than weaken it or sow seeds of discord within NDC. In any case any publicity is good because at the least, if such groups and interests exist in secrecy within NDC by this publication, the NDC leadership is now aware so NDC should be grateful to the paper even if the story is false.

He had to retain at post by bribing Afari Gyan so that is what he did. After NPP found out that the election was wrapped with a lot of crimes, and are thus taken the matter up in court, what the thief (Mahama) did was to bribe the Supreme Court Justices only to remain at the presidency. All these will never go unpunished and jon mahama awaits death sentence even before 2016 so just hang on tight. Mahama is a criminal and must be dealt with severely.
