Very good job but I am rather surprised that you have not seciously advocated vaccination as a means of containing the spread of the virus. I understand about 18% of the Ghanaian population is infected with the virus and I believe a government funded nation-wide vaccination program will go a long way in stopping the spread of the virus. The Government has a free vaccination program against yellow fever and other infections diseases why not for Hepatitis?. As you very well know it is much cheaper to vaccinate a person (about GHc70 for the test and 3 shots of the vaccine) than to attempt a cure; where there is non so far any way. I know that first hand because I spent over Ghc 7,000 to have my brother cured and he still died. I believe a government nation-wide vaccination program is the answer to the spread of the virus in the country and other parts of ther world for that matter.
