Some of his own party members know he is a no nonsense man. That does not me an NPP member. I have more friends in The NDC than NPP. I have not even met Kuffour in life before. Aftreall, No party member puts food on my table.
I do not care a farthing if Kuffour is hauled before any investigative committee to answer any question of corruption. I also have the same feeling for Rawlings.
What is happening in Ghana politics is that people who shout louder and are able to insult are the ones that are usually heard. Some of these former ministers like Ofosu Ampofo are making all such calls and comments because there is the rumour that Mahama will be making a reshuffle soon and want positions. Don't you think Koby should be punished for abuse of office.

You see, I am utterly tired over the never-ending corruption cases unveiled each minute. NO ONE has the country at heart. It is particularly enraging that Kufuor who took the reigns of power riding on abuses and accusations about NDC also profited to abuse the trust and confidence of the fragile and fatigue-ridden electorate.

Kufuor initiated his banditry and predatory long before he even had time to stabilize his seat of president of the country. For, how could a person who all along tooted his best monotonous refrain "Zero tolerance for corruption" begin selling ships in 2001, immediately he became president? The hotel followed suit, end 2002! What kind of human who loves his country does these?

On the other hand, NO ONE can judge Mahama now since there's nothing to stand on and make tangible assessment until a year is over. But I can say for sure he is better that former president Mills and Atta Yii Kufuor.

President's are judged on what they did wrong and NEVER what they did beneficial to the state since they came in on promising improvement in social conditions. In the case of Kufuor we can't see what he did right: he just came to accomplish the blue prints of the previous government and just enriched himself.

come to think of it; initially GNPC said they do not have any information about this transaction and that they were never involved. Later on what do we hear? Now they were involved and they have some information about it.

Now SG says they do not have any records of the transaction!!! what do they mean???? Are they saying that ghana is still owing them this judgement debt???? if Ghana is not owing them how did ghana pay off their debt???? OR was the SG Tsatsu transacted with a different SG (may be one located in the Volta Region? and not the actual SG whose officials have been called for questioning???

To unravel the whole truth about this deal, it'd be proper they call all persons who were involved in this transaction both former govt officials and present, for questioning. Tsatsu should be called first; I can smell rat. KT hammond is talking here and there; he should also be called and Kan Dapaah.

Going by what KT is saying, if indeed the $3.5m cheque was made in the name of the govt of Ghana, there's no way anybody can cash it except the govt of Ghana. was the said cheque really cashed/deposited/lodged? Into which govt of Ghana account?????

In fact I dont thik there is any mystery sorounding this transaction at all; it's very simple.

What I suspect rather is, the current govt wants to cloud our minds and cause the citizenry to suspect that the NPP govt also paid judgement debts much the same as the WOYOME saga. This is shameful!!!!!

Since it was a bank draft in the name of the Government of Ghana, no individual could cash it. In any case the English bank that issued the draft still exists. Unlike us who make documents vanish into thin air, without trace, they can produce scanned copies. All that the Commission has to do is write to them officially.

All these educated illiterates walk in the corridors of power in Ghana, why wouldn't our national capital be swallowed in filth?

KT Hammond gave a detailed account, with documents, on Citi FM. The only missing part of the puzzle is the remaining $3.5m, which Bank of Ghana claims it cannot trace. Since this was a bank draft, the Commissioner can just go to the bank that issued it and ask to be shown the individual/group that eventually cashed it. This is not rocket science. If we cannot solve this simple issue, how can we ever provide water/electricity 24 hours a day, to every part of Accra, let alone the rest of the country!

You would have thought that if this was the sale of a state asset, then the primary repository would be the BANK OF GHANA or at the very least GNPC's Bankers. And any payments to creditors and disbursements to advisors and beneficiaries would be made out of that account. The transaction should have passed through the books of GNPC. What kind of stewardship did the Ministers exercise with respect to GNPC?

The vessel had been impounded in Oman, on the orders of Societe Generale, waiting for the court judgement to sell it for $20m and demand the rest of its costs from the state/GNPC. KT Hammond managed to bring down SG's demand from $47m to $19.5m. The sale was made into an escrow account, because SG did not trust GNPC to pay it.

The numerous institutions that were owed by GNPC were paid through the escrow account. The remaining $3.5m, a bank draft in the name of the government of Ghana that owned 100% shares of GNPC, paid to Bank of Ghana through the Ministry of Finance. What is it about this procedure that you do not understand?

The NDC and NPP have turned our nation into a laughing stock, where foreigners see us as being STUPID, because all they have to do is come in to Ghana and 'be in bed' with any politician.......and be given all our rich natural resources on the cheap; for them to enrich themselves.
All this going on, whilst OUR citizens live in ABJECT POVERTY! Our children are suffering!!!!!!!!!!

I strongly believe that all the clauses inserted in our 1992 constitution protecting our former so-called leaders should be scrapped and all of them from PNDC, NDC and NPP be brought to justice. Yes! JJ, K4, Mahama etc.

They have stolen enough from Ghanaians and it's about time they and their cronies are brought to book and stop this blame game of party tribal politics which leads to cover ups.

How on earth can we GHANAIANS stand by for whilst our educated illiterates deliberately allow the nation incur debts by deliberately defaulting on contracts with foreign companies????

How on earth can we allow foreign companies in Ghana, operate in OUR country without paying their electricity bills? Is it because they are 'in bed' with those charged with looking after the nation's assets?
