Nonsense Asabee!! Akufo-Addo lost twice because Ghana has a bogus electoral system in place. NDC also complained when Atta Mills lost to President Kufuor in 2000 and 2004. In 1992, there was the stolen verdict when NPP challenge EC the first time. In 1996, NPP again complained when its candidate lost again. At every stage EC tried to improve the process but not enough to yield credible results. The biometric system was introduced with the intention to produce the best results. Right now the Supreme Court's ruling confirmed that the application (BV) is unconstitutional. Thus one can readily conclude that it's rather not the candidate but almighty EC (with unchallenged powers) is the cause of all these troubles. Akufo-Addo is the best president with vision, tenacity and discipline that Ghana has yet not tested!

Yes,you must better go for a lesser popular candidate to can win any election.It's has been done with even Dr Hilla Liman who was not known in the country but was able to beat Victor Owusu and Ofori Atta,very seasoned and popular leaders.Kwame Nkrumah also won againt Dr J.B.Danquah and Dr K.A.Busia who were both popular than him.It is also true that Nana Addo is popular than Kuffour but when it comes to national élections Kuffour knows how to organise his party and attract more outside votes than Nana Addo.This is the theory Asabee is trying to convey.Winning political power is not only about popularity but a combination of organisational skills and communication skills.Let the Npp find out who has these 2 qualities, then they can break through.Thank you.

It is clear Nana Akuffo Addo stands a better chance of winning power for the NPP, if the next election is not tainted by massive rigging, like 2012.

It is also clear that those trying to stop Nana Addo, have personal Presidential ambitions. LOOK AT HOW MANY CONTESTED THE PRIMARIES, LAST TIME ROUND.

Ghanaians watched the Court proceedings well and many believe that the (split) verdict was given to the NCC, just to avoid mayhem in the country, given the NDC's record on violence.

To have the NDC media supporting those discenting voices in the NPP, is the clue and that raises suspicions that they (NDC) are afraid that Akuffo Addo will be third time lucky, like Prof. Mills.

Since many Ghanaians, even NDC supporters believe that Nana was cheated, and given the fact that Nana sought a peaceful resolution to the election results, and given the fact that the economy is i a mess, many Ghanaians will reward him, Nana Akuffo Addo, with a massive vote.

As an independent, non party Ghanaian, I will appeal to those NPP persons, with Presidential ambitions, to think of their Party, first, because without their Party coming to power, in 2016, they don't stand much chance of realising their political ambitions, because if the NDC win in 2016, their will entrench their position.

Akufo Addo is behaving like the emperor in "the Emperor's new clothes" story. In this story a vain Emperor who cares about nothing except wearing and displaying clothes hires two swindlers who promise him the finest, best suit of clothes from a fabric invisible to anyone who is unfit for his position or "hopelessly stupid". The Emperor's appointees cannot see the clothing themselves, but pretend that they can for fear of appearing unfit for their positions and the Emperor does the same. Finally the swindlers report that the suit is finished, they mime dressing him and the Emperor marches in a procession before his subjects. The townsfolk play along with the pretense not wanting to appear unfit for their positions or stupid. Then a child in the crowd, too young to understand the desirability of keeping up the pretense, shouts out that the Emperor is wearing nothing at all and the cry is taken up by others. This put doubts in the Emperor as he suspected the assertion to be true, but continues the procession.
Even after the SC verdict, Akufo Addo believed he was indeed cheated. Instead of telling him the truth, his supporters are praising him and calling for him to be their next presidential candidate even though congress is far away. Many prominent people are singing his praises like a god instead of rebuking him for putting the destiny of this country in suspense for 8 months.
If Akufo Addo were honest, he would have by now found out that, Ghanaians have rejected him. The 2008 and 2012 results clearly revealed this. In both cases, NPP's parliamentary candidates received far more votes than their presidential candidate, Akufo Addo. In 2008 particularly, he needed just 0.7% to win the election in the first round so one would have thought that in the second round, he would attract enough votes to clinch victory. But in the second round, he lost terribly as the late Mills came from behind to beat him. Contrast this from 2000 when former President Kufuour, who came first in the first round like Akufo, went to round 2 with the late Mill. In the second round he even increased the margin with which he beat Mills in the first round - the electorates clearly were choosing Kufuor. But when it came to Akufo Addo, the electorates clearly were avoiding him.
If Akufo Addo were to be a wise person, he would go into retirement because he is never going to be President of Ghana.

This resulted in the splitting of NPP votes, and the seat changed hands. And this happened across the country.
What was your contribution during the court case? If you have any criticism for the party, do you not think that it would be better not to tell the whole world, but rather seek to lay it before the party hierachy? Be wise. And cooperate with the leaders to move the party forward. Keep your big mouth shut if you want to be taken seriously in future!!
