nana is spent and a member of the old crony system of corrupt unscrupulous individuals who are partly to blame for the mess our country is in today . he served under one of the most corrupt presidents ghana has ever seen and up till today has never voiced out his opinion on these matters . imagine our gold being exploited by foreigners who do not care to invest a single penny in our economy , in fact the situation is worse than under outright colonialism . billions of dollars are siphoned out and we are forced into the vicious cycle of borrowing .Better NPP takes a fighter like ken agyapong instead of these fools and forked tongued criminals like nana , kuffuor and alan cash pepeni has no courage to pick competent ministers to rectify these woes nor reshuffle his cabinet to an all inclusive less tribal govt that taps into the strengths of all our people . he had the opportunity to be the best president the country has ever seen but rather chose the most selfish greedy idiots to ruin things further . let me remind him his attitude will lead to a new revolution and war that will have him and kuffuor lying in the gutter in their own blood . we are also the stakeholders of this nation and we say an adamant NO to the corruption and irresponsible attitude of the ruling oligarchy , long live the republic of Akan

The Honourable Minority Leader's suggestion is ideal but undemocratic. In a democracy, there should be freedom of choice and the freedom to contest elections, provided those contesting meet the requirement/s of the game.

How would the three extremist, moderate and the middle way be selected and what would be the criteria (self description or what)? Of course, the 16 contestants in 2008 was far too high but a number between five and seven is not too much for a national party such as the NPP. There will always be candidates who enter the contest just to add up to numbers and they should not be prevented from doing so in a democratic society.

To win a political power is a strategy that needs to be studied carefully.It's not about popularity or wealth that makes the peoples' choice.It is about organisational and communication skills that crown the best leader.Let me give you some examples.If you look at Kwame Nkrumah against J.B.Danquah and Busia,you can say Nkrumah is a chicken but why did Kwame Nkrumah beat them at any élections even combined together with different parties?They were never near to Nkrumah in any election.Then it came to Hilla Liman against Victor Owusu and William Ofori Atta,the poor guy Hilla Liman also beat them.So why is the poor and unpopular candidate beating the rich candidate all the time?You can also compare Prof.Mills and John Mahama to Nana Addo.There is something Npp must learn about this trend,they better find out who can win power for them,poor or rich that's the question.Thank you.

NPP is a REGIONAL PARTY, PERIOD!!! Take me to the shooting range and condemn me to death. I am all for it.

I have experienced 6 DECADES of UP/PP/PFP/APP/NPP politics and it is not funny. They use you and dump you when it comes to the issue of PRESIDENCY. QED.

I do not know where you guys were, when Veep Aliu Mahama showed signs of interest in leading the party, in 2007.

If any NPP member of Northern extraction would have led the NPP/UP it would have been Alhaji Yakubu Tali(Tolon Naa) in 1979. What did we see?

You can say what ever you want but the truth hurts. The PFP denied Alhaji Yakubu Tali, the flagbearership (if this word exists)even though he was more popular than the then PNP candidate Dr. Hilla Limann.

They chose Victor Owusu, to lead the party, and made Tolon Naa his running mate, and we lost miserably to the PNP,(Yes I was a very strong PFP Regional activist in the Tamale, Northern Region).

If you guys think a "pepeni" or "ayigbe ni" would lead this party (NPP) in the next 20years then you need to wake up. That is the biggest national joke. "DABI DA"...lmao.

If you these young ones think you support the UP tradition more than some of us who have seen the light, let me tell you, something about my relation with the UP.

My dad was so UP, Dr. Nkrumah, framed him and some Northerners, including Dr Ibn Chambas' dad and jailed my dad for a brief period for some cooked up documents they found in my dad's bungalow in Akwatia in the early 60s.

Ok now I have opened the floodgates for criticism, make me your punching bag if you think what I have written is not true.

If Akuffo Addo does not stand, the NPP will go to congress but the best choice should be Bawumia. He is gentle and cannot be accused of any hidden wrongdoing or crime. The names being promoted by various factions will rather lead NPP to become more factionalized. Some have so many dirty clothes in their wardrobes.
