We do not need to chase our tails about the missing records of the 511 Discovery Drill Ship. By companies law in Ghana, every registered company must render its annual accounts at the end of its financial year. GNPC must have submitted its accounts yearly for all those donkeys ' years to the Internal Revenue Authorities and also a copy served to the Companies House. In the Fixed Assets Note to the Accounts section the disposal of the 511Discovery Drill Ship must be clearly shown in the Fixed Assets section as a DISPOSAL. furthermore,in the notes to the accounts must be clearly shown whether the ship was disposed of at a profit or at a loss?.
The amount paid out to defray judgment debt and the balance must be recorded clearly in the Cash Book of GNPC. Even a Cahier can do that job. Therefore, for Ghanaians to be told that there are no traceable records relating to the disposal of the ship is a child's play. Moreover Mr Kwaku Baako seems to have copies of correspondence between Societe Generale and GNPC which seem to shed light on the uncertainties we are facing now. There is the need for a televised public enquiries regarding the disposal of the 511 Discovery Ship.
