I thought these evil Asshantis only hated Nigerians out of ignorance and jealousy for Nigerians' prosperity, but the 'VENOM' being spewed against their fellow citizen Prof Kofi Awonoor, who was murdered by Al-Shebab terrorists in Kenya, was beyond human comprehension. No wonder, when these evil Asshantis violently deported Nigerians from Ghana during the EVIL Busia ACO in the 60s, (and STOLE their properties and shared them amongst themselves), I thought, well...maybe Nigerians faced such (horrible and barbaric experience at the hands of these WICKED Asshantis), because they are not natives of Ghana.

When I was a graduate student at Princeton, in my first year, I visited Bronx where my sister was living in the same apartment complex with Prof Kofi Awoonor. At the time, he was lecturing part time at Columbia and pursuing his final ph.d. dissertation. What I remember about him is that he would often speak FANTI to my sister encouraging her to be closer to his wife rather than the other gullible, gossipy Ghanaians in the same complex because he found my sister articulate and educated.

I spoke often with him in Fanti and he was full of excitement whenever Ghana came up. Even at that time he did not look that old; I am surprised that he was 78.

May he rest in peace - those who knew him up close really considered him classy and he fitted into many Ghanaian ethnic groups because he spoke so many Ghana languages.... it was always difficult to pin him as an Ewe. His English was nothing like an ewe accent!!!

With tears in my eyes,i said why will a dog eating race who does not know his or her identity celebrate with whites because a black man has been killed by whites?
Sadly we have the George Zimmerman's in Ghana who envy other tribes.
We complain about the white man discriminating against us but we discriminate against our own Ghanaian's.
In the soccer matches that we play,our national team is Ghana black stars,not Akan or Ewe Black stars.
kevin prince Boateng and Adam kwarassey were born in foreign countries and cannot speak any Ghanaian dialect but the choose to play for our Nation.

When Kofi Nyidevu, Prof, was writing his satanic verses, pitching one tribe against another when we are all the same, a family has married into a family from the Volta region, some family from the Volta region has married into a Fanti, Asante, Bono, Nzema etc, etc, family, we should have raised the righteous hell and indignation which is pouring profusely from all and sundry. We are one people and what Nyidevu sought to accomplish with his satanic verses would never be forgotten. We may forgive, but it would never be forgotten, just like Kennedy Agyapong issuing a fatwa that,"we should kill all Ga's and Ewes". Elders and those who are enlightened should use their knowledge and influence to bring peace and foster unity amongst the various tribes, ethnicities and cultures just like the beautiful kente cloth, which showcases our rich culture, and that is the only way, they would be accorded the necessary respect by the citizenry. He did his part, what about you? Would you want to pass through life and experience death at the hands of terrorists and militants, but, your own country, would not feel any sympathy for your death, even when you rose to become the chairman of the council of state? I came on this website to see and read the love and sympathy that a people would show for a fellow Comrade - A Ghanaian! Only to read firstly an article that is supposed to enlighten people, rather plunges its fellow people into the deepest pits of ignorance and they even show it to the world by writing out their comments for all to see!. Very few people were able to do the decent thing and do the right thing by stating their sympathies.
