If Jake is now realizing this trait in the NPP, then he has not been observant enough.

NPP collectively as a party thinks that the way to their prosperity is by denigrating anyone they consider as being their way. See how they treated the late Prof. Mills. See how they tried to disgrace candidate Mahama in the last election campaign. When they could not defeat the NDC presidential candidate where did they turn their attention to? Of course they turned their guns on poor Dr. Afari Gyan, the EC chairman. When they could not defeat him they trained their guns this time on the Supreme court Justices.

NPP´s modus operandi has always been by attaining prosperity by "bad-mouthing" all opponents. It is no wonder therefore that they are practising this negative trait on themselves. The lesson for Jake and his followers is that they cannot achieve prosperity by standing on the shoulders of their opponents. They should in fairness and in their own interests stop their failed "CRAB SYNDROME" if they wish to make any headway.

Jake, even as you lament your party's woes and offer suggestions on the way forward, I suggest that you find a way to manage your party's use of the media.

It seems to me that some of your members, and painfully enough, the top leaders prefer running to the media than to carry whatever is on their mind for redress within the party. They find the media a much convenient channel to tell their stories than to tell them within.

And that is an indictment to the communication system existing within the party. It looks like there are no channels for conversations within the party. If there are, then I suspect they are not dependable, hence the resort to the media. Or are there some 1960s Basel headteachers with big sticks within to give strong lashes to 'talkativeness'?

If the argument is that the NPP is a democratic party and so people should talk 'freely', then I'm afraid DEMOCRACY IS NOT EQUAL TO LAWLESSNESS.

My only concern is for us not to waste too many resources in the Volta region. The people just hate Akans for their God-given wealth and prosperity and will not stop at maligning them to serve their political agenda. We need to concentrate on the Western, Northern and Brong regions to bring education to the suffering masses who are being brainwashed with NDC tribal propaganda to sympathise with NDC and by so doing sign their death warrants. - Remmember Uncle Atta? They should not be deceived to feel safe with the Ewes, Even the Northerners are not safe with the Ewes. So lets preach the message and educate our people of the danger of the Awoonor led Ewe agenda. Are your teeming supporters reading this, or you assume they will not pay attention and ask the questions I am asking? These days Ghanaians have become so aware of the rot and corruption in the EC. People have seen it all esp. since nobody was courageous enough to challenge Afari-Gyan and the NDC's cheating and fraud in elections.

So, I strongly believer that the next elections won't be the same; people will be more vigilant and decisive during voting time. Ghanaians aren't going to sit down quietly or look on unconcerned while the EC and NDC steal the ballot next time. Things have change, esp. after all that happened at the Supreme Court.

But like Jake said, many of our NPP members are just traitors and trouble seekers within. It's so shocking to note that some NPP supporters were happy after the court verdict; some supporters openly popped champagne after that dubious Supreme Court verdict. It's also surprising to note that some party leaders and elders have started causing problems by breaking up the party and causing divisions here and there.

So party leaders and would-be flag bearer aspirants are using all sorts of means and tricks to dis-stabilise the party. It's disgusting to note and I totally agree with Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey for pointing things out. We're our own "worse enemy" and there's no dispute about that!

Well done for this piece. My advice is that some of your party members need to change their views about governance. They think Ghana is for NPP only to govern. THIS IS NOT TRUE and CANNOT BE TRUE. Any party in Ghana can lead and govern our beloved country.

Secondly, your party is not in any way stronger and more united. It is rather the opposite - you are divided; and remember what Jesus says, a house divided against itself cannot stand. If NPP is seeking to regovern Ghana, they need to approach everything they do with positive mentality. They have too many negative acts because they are not in power; and if they behave that way the Lord whom they hypocritically say the battle belongs to Him will never and never win the battle for them. The Lord says pray for the peace of Ghana and her prosperity (Psalm 122:6 & 7), and yet the majority of NPP faithfuls are praying that HE John Mahama fails. Definitely the Lord to whom NPP claim the battle belongs to is not pleased and happy about such an attitude.
So Jake, preach to your people to work positively for the good of Ghana and in the process when God sees their genuine acts to build Ghana, He will bring them to power to govern Ghana. If not then forget about coming to power.
