“Solo chest-beating” is a form of politician's playground antics. Ghana has suffered from "armed robberies" for quite a long time, but citizens see no relief in sight. If Ghana is so good that it can withstand the "well organized and coordinated terrorists attack on Ghana", then why can't Ghana deal drastically with local, badly trained, disorganized and ‘mpieto’ (badly clothed) hoodlums in Ghana?

Even the mightiest of the mighty, the United States of America, was deadly surprised by Al-Qaida in September 2001 and many such clever, but deadly stunts followed thereafter. Even the Israelis with all citizens armed-trained and armed to the teeth have had the "business end" of well-organized terrorists’ attacks.

2. Religion: The Bible produces Christians from the lineage of Isaac and the Quran produces Muslims from the lineage of Ishmael. Christianity is not a religion, it’s a way of life and Christians LIVE it. Islam on the other hand is a (political) religion and Muslims PRACTICE their religion.

Surah (2:191-193) - kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, and drive them out of the places where they drove you out, for persecution of Muslims is worse than slaughter of disbelievers, so fight them until persecution is no more, and religion of Allah reigns supreme.

3. Love: The Bible teaches that God is Love and commands Christians to love one another and even love their enemies. For no one can worship God without love.(1John 4:16) and (1John 4:20)
The Quran does not mention Allah as love, rather Muslims are taught to hate all who do not believe in Allah.

Is Ghana really prepared? Please don't forget poverty, squalor and neglect by central governments can lead to terrorism! In which certain rich individuals can take advantage of the vulnerable, in terms of what I outlined above; for their own personal gains.

We need to be careful in dealing with terrorism and will have to get into the core of each matter, before we jump the gun, so to speak.

Nkrumah was operating on a different wavelength in comparison not only to Africans but, the world over. He was right! Someone's terrorist is somebody else's freedom fighter!

Would we Ghanaians now consider that the bomb-throwing elements who tried to destabilize Osagyefo's government then, was terrorism? (Think deeply about it). I apologize for making it political but, I am trying to define the multi-facets of terrorism. So, please bear with me, I'm no expect but, I have views!!!!!

Terrorism is not one dimensional, so to tackle it we have to know its source. And have a multi-faceted approach in dealing with it. It is not all about going to blow them apart, by showcasing our military might etc. it it only breeds more mayhem. It is a matter of addressing the core issues and reaching out to the minds that are being brainwashed. There is more to it than meets the eye and we should not just join in the bandwagon of going to blow them up. If that could solve it, why are they still attacking. Please take Kenya as an example since the 1998 US embassy bombing. Why this new attack? We need to think very carefully and not just join in with the others!

Ghana, is a unique country and we have to have a unique approach to this whole issue.

Unfortunately, others also in their warped minds, sit back and orchestrate it on us to inflict FEAR on our society, and then turn around to offer us with protection, whilst their main motives is to collaborate with some of our own, to milk us dry of our rich natural resources by any means necessary. (Think deeply about it).

History tells us that bombing terrorists just for the sake of doing so, continues to breed more of them and the cycle continues.

Africans should sit up and stop being GULLIBLE and tackle these issues wholeheartedly and not play politics with it and be caught up in the global views of it either. And this goes specifically to both the NDC and NPP parties.

Our own thoughts and approach to the subject is also important and should not be left to the West alone to decide who does what and how. After all we are all affected by this diabolic phenomenon.

The more they come into your country the greater the risk of radicalising some segments of their counterparts in your own country. I would suggest that your government keeps an eye on radicalisation.

"Terrorism is an exploitation of openings" was the way Ndung'u Gethenji, chair of Kenya's parliamentary defence committee, described to me the attack in Nairobi. And the gunmen at the Westgate siege exploited those openings to the full to mount a "spectacular" that has wounded Kenya - and left its people shaken.

That extremist gunmen could secure a base within the mall in the weeks leading up to the attack and pre-position weapons is in itself astonishing. But for many Kenyans, audacious as it is, it will come as little surprise when bribery remains the currency of everyday life.

For security reasons,you don't tell the whole world and terrorist that you are prepared and ready for them. You boast about your national security to outsiders.A communication minister needs to be circumspect and confidential in national matters. Learn to be prudent with national issues. Note, this is NATIONAL SECURITY issues and not political campaign gymnastics. Please learn to be PRUDENT.

In my view, one can never be ready for these things. Perhaps you should talk to countries or individuals who have suffered such misfortunes. If you are taken any steps, the smartest thing would be to go about it privately instead of coming out to make such bold statements else you might end up with eggs on your face.

It will not do us any good if government should rule out this security alert because there is some amount of truth is any rumour ,so lets be alert as when ones beard is burning its better for the other to quickly go for water ...
