Npp thinks Ghanaians have soon forgotten when they were stealing gold, money, land and other state properties.Ghanaians can still remember when Sir John told npp followers to dress in white and go to church for thanksgiving even when the final results were not complete just to make a case that they had been robbed. NPP loses whichever method (quantitatively or qualitatively) is applied to compute/determine the outcome of the justices rulings.

Did the 9 justices rule in favour (majority) of NPP on any of the 6 reliefs NPP went to court for?

Even if they enlist the assistance of Staistical Services how are they going to determine the number of votes that should go to Pres Mahama and how many(what proportion)should be credited to Akuffo Addo?

Are the going to use all votes cast in all polling stations nationwide or just those they exclusively selected for the petition?

Let the NPP put the interest of the nation above their narrow political self-interest. The damage to the economy caused by the uncertainty over the electoral dispute is yet to be put right. The nation is really tired of this unnecessary saga.

There is no point in dragging this issue further. Let us put it behind us and move on as a nation.

NPP should be warned. The electorate are no fools - Ghanaians are astute enough to know when a party is only interested in grabbing power by all means rather than serving the nation. NPP is wasting its own time and the time of the nation. A whole year has virtually been wasted on an unnecessary electoral dispute. Meanwhile, the fundamental problems facing the country remain unsolved.

The electorate are not forgiving. The electoral price to pay for the NPP's foolhardiness may well be very heavy.

OR PERHAPS DURING THE EIGHT MONTHS OF THE SC CASE THESE UNEMPLOYED OFFICIALS HAD SOMETHING TO OCCUPY THEM: WATCH THE PROCEEDINGS ON TV FROM MORNING TILL LATE AFTERNOON. Moreover, while my analysis tell me that Kuffour regime was better than any of the NDC regime, it was still don't the best. The true margin between NPP and NDC would have been very slim if the forgone election were true and fair. This should tell the NPP that they are not the best so they should allow that idiot to finish his term. They should sit down and learn their mistakes, plan for the next election instead of thinking about the forgone election.

The party should close the chapter on the Supreme Court case and organise itself for the next election, having buried all the nagging differences amongst them. The nation still patiently awaits their services in the event of the ruling NDC not performing. Lawyer Sam Okudzeto New
A former President of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA), Mr. Sam Okudzeto, has described those criticising his analysis of the Supreme Court verdict on the election petition trial, as “ignorant” people.

“…If anybody is [picking] a fight with me, it is because the person is ignorant and I think we Ghanaians should learn now to begin to learn, instead of using sentiments. Sentiments don’t help anybody” he told Radio XYZ’s news magazine programme STRICT PROOF on Friday.

Mr. Okudzeto, in an interview with XYZ News on Thursday September 26, 2013, accused the presiding judge of the nine-member Supreme Court panel that heard the case, Justice William Atuguba, of “misreading" the judgment of his other colleague Justices.

According to Sam Okudzeto, his own analysis of the 588 pages of the judgment shows the decision went 5-4 in favour of the petitioners.

He, therefore, wondered why the Court ruled in favour of the respondents and validated President John Mahama’s election.

Mr. Okudzeto said he believes the Presiding Judge, Justice William Atuguba, gave a “wrong” analysis of the judgment.

Retired Military Captain, Joel Sowu, his harshest critic, described Mr. Okudzeto’s analysis as wrongly-timed and imprudent.

According to Captain Sowu, “…with his age, I thought that prudence should have played a part for him to decide whether to say what he’s saying at this point in time or not”.

“If you say the right thing at the wrong time, it is wrong; if you say the wrong thing at the right time; it is wrong and I think the timing is completely overboard and it is uncalled for and it must be condemned by right thinking people who want peace in this country”, he stressed.

He wondered why Mr. Okudzeto made those comments despite the fact that: “The petitioner himself has said ‘I will abide by the thing’”.

“…So who are you now to start critiquing and rubbishing the judgment of the Supreme Court?”

“…We are all saying that the word ‘Supreme’ means ‘something or nothing’, and he, as a former President of the Bar Association, seriously, I’m disappointed in him”, he thundered exasperatingly.

Mr. Okudzeto however retorted that: “That is the level of their ignorance; that because the Supreme Court has pronounced judgment therefore, we as academicians should not analyze it?”

“If they are doing that then they are ignorant and this is what they need to be educated upon…I was doing a critique of the judgment; I’m entitled to do; in fact which I’m obligated to do. They should learn now and begin to learn because it is the sentiment that creates the tension in the country. It is not the analysis”.

This is the same man who was at a peace rally calling for peace before the 29th August verdict. So what peace was he really calling for?

What makes him think he is right and the panel of justices are wrong? Why can Okudjeto not simply accept that his is a false, outrageous and quite frankly divisive analysis and conclusion which if anything only serves to negate the very peace he claimed to be calling for. In other words, it makes him a hypocrite and that is unstatesmanlike!!!

- the clever Supreme Court at the onset saw that the 'evil to cure' in the supporting Constitution wasn't what the NPP presented in their foolish petition; and

- the Supreme Court had no powers to overrule the Declaration of the Electoral Commissioner that Mahama won the Election; and

- the Supreme Court had no powers to install NPP halfwit Akim Akufo Ado as the President in place of electeted Mahama; and

- the Supreme Court simply threw out that foolish NPP petition; there was no determination, judgement or ruling; there is nothing to review

For goodness sake, NPP must put the SC verdict about their election petition behind them and help develop mother Ghana. Right now, we wonder why NPP are still searching for ways to have the verdict overturned even though they have accepted it. And their flag bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, has praise heaped on him for being gentlemanly and a good statesman to accept the verdict at an early stage to defuse the tension in the country. we can only assume that their post-verdict stance owe much to the fact that they have not had the chance to form a government to enable them to recoup their debt. There are rumours that a great majority of NPP members - their leader included - who stood for election had sold their properties or, borrowed money for the campaign. They had anticipated to win the election but never materialised. Consequently, they are in debt. They want a chance to loot state coffers to pay their debt, hence their continuous search for a way to reverse the SC verdict - not that they will do better than the NDC government.
