  For Christ sake, production of cocoa, though a national pride belongs to the bin of history. Why do we have to go back to increasing the production of cocoa when most eaters of chocolate and it's varieties really eat synthetic cocoa products. Its about time we identify new crops that have real commercial value for our farmers and stop belittling ourselves that cocoa still reigns! The era of cocoa is long long gone.

  In any case, the consumption of adulterated chocolate food product, or genetically modified crops in general, should be discouraged.
