  akoto banfo has a question to answer before her maker the the she is lowered a six feet down the earth where we ll all go one day.The word shall in the constitution can not ve different interpretation,why the shall in respect of the the president in example,there shall be a council of state to counsel the president in the performance of his functions.Can she interprate the to mean something els?the shall has given the president lots of powers and he is not shering it with anybody so how can the same power be given to someone and you decide to downplay it with words?.This that she and the other judges ve done ll remain by their names till thy kindom come

  Probably this is the best bill ever to aid ordinary citizens hold people charged with governance to account, and it behoves on all of us (especially journalist) to push for it passage. If it was NDC/NPP many insulting comment ...

  Passing an effective RTI bill would expose the corrupt practices of ministers, civil servants and other senior officers. Hence, the long and over-due RTI bill.
  
  Just consider importation of cars for private use to Ghana and the daunting clearing systems. It has been pulicly revealed by a whistle blower how custom officials fraustrate importers with a view to impounding the cars to be autioned and only to be purchased by custom officials or their friends and families a a rock bottom price, resulting to loss of revenue to the government covers
  
  The whistle blower suggested that for the revenue to go the government coffers a system should be established whereby an importer can visit a website of the Customs, put full details of the car and get the duties on the car and pay online. You print the receipt to be shown at a port of clearing.
  
  In London if you want to apply for a visa to Ghana, you go the Ghana High Commission website and apply and pay the fee. You instantly get a receipt with a note when to collect your visa.
  
  The technology is simple and the reason why the customs in Ghana are not implementing it is that the officials do not want any system that prevent their corrupt practices
  
  It is familiar.
