  I am a polling station executive. And I am determined to make my vote count. A democratic party is built on the right to elect leaders bottom-up, not top-down. So we elect polling station executives, then constituency executives then parliamentarians, then a Presidential candidate. When there is a sitting President going for a second-term we can vary this in order to stay in power, not when we are in opposition and have failed to capture power twice. Besides no amount of consutitional protection will stop a determine people from removing their incompetent leaders, if it even takes a revolution or implosion to bring this pack of cards that has mislead us into two failed elections and is planning to install a failed 72-year old candidate again. JAK HAS FINAL PROVIDED THE SPARK BY AUTHORING THIS USELESS SELF-SERVING AMENDMENT, NPP ARISE AND BE COUNTED. WE ARE NOT IN NORTH KOREA, WHERE ONE SHORTMAN AND HIS FAMILY HAVE RULE FOREVER. GHANAIANS SHOULD REJECT THE NPP AT THE POLLS IF THESE AMENDMENTS GO THROUGH. REMEMBER THE IDI AMIN, MOBUTU SESESEKO, MENGISTU, MUGABE, RAWLINGS, WERE ONCE ACTIVISTS OF FREEDOM BEFORE THEY ROSE TO POWER, AS SOON AS THEY GOT THERE THEY REJECTED THE PRINCIPLES THAT GOT THEM THERE TO ADOPT SELF-PRESERVING TACTICS, CLAIMING IT WAS FOR THE GOOD OF ALL. WHAT DOES IT PROFIT A POLITICAL TO GAIN POWER AND LOSE ITS DEMOCRATIC CREDENTIAL, UNLESS OF COURSE THE SOLE PURPOSE OF CAPTURING POWER IS TO LOOT AND SHOOT.

He has had his turn and it is time to leave it for the youth.

  On what achievements or basis will the MPs be seeking re-nomination? They have not worked effectively for more than two months to have any worthy achievement. And on what defficiencies will thos who ill want to contest the sitting MPs do that since effectively no MP can be deemed to have filed in his or her work. This suggestion of electing parliamentary cnadidates soon will be another wrong step. Jake, just stick to the usual time table and find other means to dicipline party members or candidates who insult or make false allegations against any other candidate.
