There are three serious stories about this man which in many other jurisdictions would have disqualified him from standing for elections, let alone, become an (honourable) MP. First he was jailed by a competent court of law for child trafficking. Second, the former Justice Kofi OWUSU is now Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore - a change from a typical Akan name to a Ga one. And thirdly, 'inadvertently' stabbing of a school mate DURING A QUARREL. I cannot imagine any vetting committee could have accepted all these explanations to clear him to stand for public office.

So who was the 'Nana' Kofi Owusu after whom he may have been named under Akan custom and who is the 'Nii' Ashie Moore whose name he now bears? Did the mother all of a sudden realise that the real father of her son was not the one who was said to be him or what?

And he wants the world to believe that people 'inadvertently' stab others during a quarrel.

How is it possible for a clearly criminal type of this sort, trafficker to me a member of parliament? Do our lawmakers actually propose laws? If so, someone must come up with a law barring convicted criminals (not political crimes) to represent the people in parliament. Mahama himself should be firmly behind such law. All excons in parliament must be thrown out because no country can progress with such people running the show.

He is in the same group as Asamoah Boateng, Ken Agyapong, owusu afriyie, hopeson adofo, KT Hammond and co. They have criminal records while they were resided broad. They have duo nationalities and never relinquished them before put into high positions in Ghana though the law required them to do so. Most of them even changes their names because of the dubious/criminal past.. What a useless Parliamentary Vetting. Committee
