Anti-terrorist training is very important at this juncture, I'm hoping that the training will continue and that a larger percentage of women are recruited into the program, the best people to teach anti-terrorist tactics are the ones who are battling it every day.

No people on the face of the earth have been more successful than Africans, in defeating terrorism, sadly though, there are those among us who seem to be so brain dead that they are calling for the the very colonial terrorists, whom their ancestors soundly defeated, after centuries of terroristic colonial rule, to teach them how to fight an enemy.

"History is a guide to future action,"....Kwame Nkrumah. History has taught us that all forces of evil that ever entered Africa, have always been eliminated by our African Ancestors, we are the descendants of great and mighty warriors who never backed down from any challenge, it's only professional PUNKS who cowardly run to others to do for them what they can do for themselves.

Somebody call the Police to order; it is not everything you put out in the press. These so called terror attackers do not publicise the timing and location of their attack hence what is necessary is undercover intelligence gathering to pre-empt any attack. Anti terrorism is intelligence based operation rather than show of force and this unprofessional publicity. Please be serious

I think Ghana Police must be commended for taking such initiative. However, I think it is a bit unprofessional to tell the whole world that we are training 130 personnel for anti-terrorism attack. This in other words means that, we as a people are very vulnerable to any form of attack. Please, our leaders, be serious for once and stop this cheap publicity. Terrorism is a serious issue and not a child's play. The question is, are you sure these 130 officers who received a one month local training are well prepared for any contingencies?. The obvious answer is NO! My suggestion is, seek external help since Ghana has never encounter any terrorist attack before, we might lack the necessary experience in preparing these officer for the future. Those who have lived it, experienced it (terrorist attacks) might be better teachers than we those who have not experience it. Personnel selection for the unit must be based on merit and those who are willing rather than just mere pick and chose. Finally, I highly commend the Ghana Police Service for taking such a giant initiative. Kudos to GPS.

What we need in Ghana is a return or re-introduction of the Commando Unit of the armed forces which the NPP disbanded for no logical reason.
