Ghana must learn to start charging laudable rates which is in conjunction with international rate. Our low rate charging is the reason why our various stadia lack amenities and infrastructure. People have money to do womanizing--many ladies/women, rampant sex, alcoholism, consulting maalams, juju, buying a lot of funeral clothes, eating a lot, meat, etc. but they don't want to pay good rate to help develop our football and help our local and professional players get good money. Grow up, Ghana fans.

Why can't Trokosis ever think beyond themselves? It is real hard for Ewes to think of anybody left behind, this is only because they never advance on their own but always walk through with their parasitic activities. Just read over what you wrote and decide for yourself if it does not merit an insult. Sometimes I feel sorry for Ghana because of Ewe negative thinking that has now engulfed every government institution from Hamle to Aflao and Half-Assini to Kolungougou.

If GFA want to increase prices, they should do it small small so that people can still afford it. You cannot increase prices by 50% in one go! That is just plain stupid! If the price was Gh 5 and you want to increase it, put it to Gh 5.5 or even Gh 6, but dont go straight to Gh 7.5.
The avarage wage in Ghana is very low as compared to the developed world, so the people complaining that we should charge international rate should know people will not be able to afford if the rates go too high.
GFA should also try and sell advance tickets on the internet and at their offices and the stadium. This will reduce queueing on match day and people camping outside the grounds.
Furthermore a queueing system should be set up outside the ticket offices using barriers so that people cannot cut the line, and so that the queues are orderly.
GFA should regulate the number of tickets any one individual is able to buy. Maximum should be 10 to cater for large families or groups of friends who want to go together. Exceptions for this can be made for corporate purchasers the GFA is sure that the company buying the tickets is going to actually use them rather than sell them on.
Police should patrol outside the stadium and arrest anybody trying to sell tickets on.
Finally, monies from ticket sales should be used for the right thing, i.e. develop and maintain sporting infrastructure.

Haaa brother Ern, I was at Ghana during the first leg match between Ghana vs Sudanda at Baba Yara stadium. I tried to buy ticket in advance but I was told it has been sold out, so I was forced to buy one out side the stadium at exorbitant price, I meant double the price. And to enter the stadium was the worse thing I did encountered. I went there around 1:30 pm and got the chance to enter the field almost 12 minutes before starting time. I was very, very, very, sad indeed how there was no police or any security around. People just come from nowhere and went straight to the front. And if a foreigner goes near, he gets V.I.P chance to enter straight. At 20th century people have to struggled to watch a match? Lack of security and it is EASY for any terrorist group to annihilate things EASILY. Haaa we have a long way to go. GFA is useless!

And about the tickets monies, we got millions from Fifa twice, what happened to that money? Baba Yara stadium, at times you can see a dust following a sharp ground balls. The scored board, the one they installed in Gen. Achampong's time was still hanging with only Ghana 0 Sudan 0. Haa weyti bi dat? We can talk, talk and talk, nothing gonna change.

there is one thing that ghanaians should take note. this is international football with most big names around the globe to perform. come on people.......this is not a local league match. many of you pay more on taxi fare to the stadium than the gate fee. dont also forget the fact that a lot of money is being spent to bring in all these good quality players to entertain you and me. if you cant afford, it ia not about making noise.........just find an alternate means to enjoy the game

Let those whose average annual income is 48,000 dollars a year pay 50 dollars minimum to go watch games, and let those whose average annual income is 4,800 cedis a year pay 5-or-less-cedis maximum to go watch games.

Even the 48,000-dollar earners complain when rates go up 1%, how much more the 4,800-cedi earners when rates go up 50%?

Let them freely express themselves.
After all, the 48,000-dollar earners also take taxis, drink beer and TALK LOOSELY (WELL, SOMETIMES).
