If out of 92000 applicants only 50% can be admitted into our Universities what do you think will happen ? I rest my case

Okudjeto is a beneficiary of this rot in our society,so don't expect him to accept this report.Gone were the days that one could go through Common Entrance,O & A levels to University without paying money to anybody.

Perhaps, given that he has no experience of an educational portfolio, it is not unexpected that his knee-jerk response to an externally sourced report damningly critical of his area of responsibility is to deny the facts on which the report is based. Little hope, then.
Can he be promoted to a job where he can do less harm?

It's unfortunate that allegations are used to substantiate research and taken to be true. University admissions are out. Can anyone come out boldly to say he/she paid bribe? What are we doing to our institutions? Whenever we are unable to make it, who ever makes it was through bribery. The EC was bribed, the the supreme court judges also, finally it's the education authority. Oh Ghanaians what at all do we want? When will we have confidence in ourselves? It's so so unfortunate. If we do not appreciate ourselves no one will do that for us. Where, when and how was the research conducted? There are institutions responsible for research in Ghana, have they given permission to any group to organize research or they interviewed their friends and relations and are now generalizing it to cover the whole education service. Let's swallow any chaff that comes our way by the time we realize the damage caused to our dear nation is irreversible. Today it's Ablakwah so we can destroy the ministry but he will not be there for ever

Except those who feel it is wrong to paddle what his or her conscience felt is wrong. Even athias will tell you bribery and corruption is wrong and most God fearing ghanaian public officials think it is ok to demand and accept bribe or pay bribe to get in to positions to consider important. though, they are willing to that back after their death. the state mechanism to punish and deter such practices is not there. We need things like the death penalty, recoup with huge interest and corruption charge that only pay for the cost of investigation but also ban such victims from any public office for eight to sixteen years.

It is strange he is disputing the 40% bribery claim.The education sector is one of the most corrupt sectors in the country.Bursars,Domestic Bursars,Headmasters/Headmistresses are big thieves when it comes to managing the finances of schools.How come these top officers are able to build mansions,drive in cars and own other properties?How much are they paid?.Several heads of schools take bribes to accept unqualified students into their schools and my son was a victim of such corrupt practices.He did not get his first choice school just because the head of that school took bribes from parents of unqualified students and admitted their children into the school.The report should serve as a wake-up call for him for his ministry is riddled with corrupt practices which is costing the state huge sums of money.

i just completed shs and i had 6b 2C even with that i couldn't gain admission into univeristy of ghana to go and study physics.If they are going to sell our positions at the univerisity we too we will become armed robbers
