Why is it so hard for the African to learn and adjust to "changing times?"

The retirement age of 60 years for civil servants was established by Mr. BOBO (the colonial White masters). But why was it set then at 60?? There were only TWO OVERRIDING REASONS:

1) Because the "life expectancy" at that time was very low, especially for men, thus the magic 60. (Fewer White women worked in Africa at that time).

2) The White ruling class didn't want many Europeans to die and be buried in Africa (Dark Continent), but to retire them fairly early so they could return to Europe to spend the later few years they had on Earth.

**Now, THANKS to Dr. Nkrumah and the rest for kicking the White man out of the Gold Coast as far back as 1957 (56 years ago) and many things have changed for us to increase the retirement age. **

1) We have fairly good sanitation in Ghana;

2) Fairly good medicines, doctors & medical facilities are available;

3) Fairly good food, eating habits and exercise; and

4) The "life expectancy" has since increased remarkably.

$$ So, why keep retiring these quite healthy, experienced, knowledgeable and hardworking men & women at only 60, while a politician can hang on to 80+? $$

The developing countries are the ones who need experienced, seasoned and knowledgeable civil servants, BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE MANY TO SPARE.

So, to Ghana's Parliament: INCREASE THE RETIREMENT AGE FROM 60 TO say 65 OR 67—because the Africana can handle the job even at 70 cool ones.

Tony Aidoo a major advocate for the NDC party who has been a Deputy Minister and has been one of the vitriolic NDC mouths in Radio Rwanda. is rejected. The NDC kingpin is reported to have openly expressed frustration that his office has not been functional since the death of President John Mills.

An exasperated Tony Aidoo wondered if the office was created for the sole purpose of thanking him, since his outfit has lacked the sort of collaboration and support it enjoyed when it was created, a period during which he still lamented the poor quality information he was fed to work with.

Tony Aidoo saw nothing wrong when John Mahama arranged 100 OIL/GAS scholarships to Norway and there was no Asante student amongst them. He saw nothing wrong when there were only 2 students from Ashanti region amongst the 250 medical students on scholarship to Cuba, which John Mahama arranged. He is aware that people with Ashanti names are being denied jobs. He is Ashanti and is being denied job. simple

As Ghanaians we always push to the limits, and then when something goes wrong, we stand back and say that it was not intended, and it was an accident.

I see nothing wrong with this officer exercising his duties with a bit seriousness coupled with firmness.

If he is acerbic, so be it.
I would rather have acerbic, than outright physical push and shove abuse.
