Now, if you were to open a textbook from years ago, you would have found that natural resources in abundance are a source of growth and wealth for
developing countries, or so it was supposed. Why not?
If you have oil, if you have diamonds, if you have gold and copper, can't these be used to help develop the country?
But if you turn to contemporary textbooks, the first chapter is liable to be about the resource curse, meaning that the revenues from foreign
investment in oil and gas and coal and copper get siphoned off in corruption. billions of dollars are siphoned off every year into THE private pockets of these so called CORRUPT DEMOCRATIC LEADERS.
WHAT A SHAME! There is a lack of transparency. There is a lack of accountability.

No nation on God's green earth can spend 75% of its revenue just to pay government workers. U.S.A spends less than 5% of its budget on federal workers. Europe on average spends less than 10% of its revenue on government employees.

This is the reason why nobody should believe Mahama and Ndc when they talk about these new Airports, secondary schools, Universities and major road constructions because there is no money anywhere to bring these projects to fruition. All your taxes and levies are used to pay the exorbitant wages of Ministers, Members of Parliament and their benefits and these morons keep asking for more. Ghana has become a banana republic.

You see, the Donor Countries know Ghana has enough Qualified People to manage what they give us in a manner that there will be no need for additional Aid in the foreseeable future. Sadly, persons who lack in the Reuisites and competence and are the most likely to succomb to Political Pressure get appointed.

Look at this GYEEDA NIGHTMARE. Do we seriously expect some Donor Country to tax its Citizens, give us a portion of the proceeds ONLY for us to disburse ONE BILLION of it as done under the GYEEDA?

APPOINT COMPETENT PEOPLE!!! Let the Donors at least have faith in who is going to manage and, hopefully, the outcome and they will give more.

Simply put, would any of us continue to lavish money on poor relative, who only uses the money to have parties, distributes your money to his friends and then comes back for more when he is broke? Well Ghana is like the poor relative described above. The President has appointed people with no real life experience to manage our lives. People who rather than focus on the task of state management, find themselves in awe of their new positions and the fact that they can now mingle sheepishly with foreign dignitaries etc. Such people are only too willing to sign Ghana away with the slightest persuasion or incentive. In short, NDC cannot govern Ghana. Ghana needs focus and maturity to attain the its hearts desires, but until Ghanaians become upright and honest to vote in the right calibre of people to lead the country, then proper development will continue to be a mirage.

The US cannot pay Govt workers, Obama cancels his trips to work with the republicans to sort the issue out.
Fast foward to Ghana, our schools are choked, common fund not paid for months, our coffers are bare and and president is galavanting in Atlanta given free speeches. One minute finance minister says all is well, a few months later he says our finances are not good, so which is which. Every well meaning and honest Ghanaian knows all is not well with the economy but if you dare say it, you will be called NPP supporter.

I remember one of ex president Kufuors statment in 2008 that if we vote for NDC, they will errode the gains made over the past eight years, at the time some though it was just campaign talk, now today we are all seeing things unfold right in front of our eyes.

Let the rot continue, NDC/NPP supporters and floating voters, we all dey inside.

How do we honestly expect donors who give simply on humanitarian grounds to standby seeing their donated monies going into guinea fowls and dogs projects when the real people who need the finance support kept crying for ordinaries like portable drinking water, affordable houses, roads, medical care and roof over the school going children?

How do we convincingly explain the hugely budget deficit of 8.7 million Cedis to our donors when we have nothing, absolutely nothing to show as a prove of spending such money to the august offices of the donors to keep bringing in more? it's a national shame.

The highly indiscipline and criminally corrupt Mahama government is certainly crumbling the nation, and sinking the national image.

Nkrumah and his man have mismanaged this nation since 1957 and successive governments have done the same without thinking twice about the plight of the ordinary people.

Ghana is full of dishonest, despicable, pathetic, irresponsible, liars, disrespectful people and that is gradually spelling doom on us. I wish these so-call "Donor nations" will stop henceforth to support out budget and let our stupid and reckless leaders think twice. Our leaders know that the Donors will be there always and will never put structures in place to govern well. You wake up everyday expecting donors to feed you -Ghana. What was wrong with him giving to help a needy country in her time of need. After all, does the bible not confirm that ''you do unto others as you want others to do unto you?
If leaders after him had given half of the country's wealth during their respective times of governance to other needy African countries and use the other half to develop that nation, once again, Ghana would have been the envy of the world. Our children wouldn't be hopping all over the globe seeking greener pastures.
Politicians of our days are so greedy that all they go into politics for, is to steal from the national coffers, build houses with the peoples money, grab girlfriends here and there and drive in expensive cars and not even think of the populace who voted them into power.
When we talk about foresight - vision, who can be compared to Kwame Nkrumah?
Please, let the young ones know what Nkrumah did and stop the accusation that he did nothing and that he was a dictator. A country like Ghana - who do we need to govern us but a Dictator with vision; a dictator whose love for the country supersedes that of our modern day politicians whose love is for their girlfriends, big buildings, big cars and the appetite to continually steal from the national coffers.
You can continue with your evil intentions but don't forget that a day of reckoning is right at the corner and you politicians will be called upon to give account of your ''good works''

Infact the government should put 2 cedis on each galon of petrol and dieszel and use that amount to support the budget. It is time webecame self reliant. MP's and ministers should forfeit 1 month salary every 6th month and oldly tell donors to go to h*ll. Government should also reduce their expenses and trim projects. They are doing this because we are in bed with the Chinese. Damn them all.

The Donor countries has realise that Mills/Mahama and Mahama/Amissah administration has taken them to be fools.These two leaders came to power to wreck the country ,steal tax payers money and donors money meant for infrastructural and health post development put together to pay judgement debts without documention of contract.If a miniter is asking government to pay an automobile dealer a judgement debt of US$1.5billion for failing to honor his agreement including delivery of vehicles in time and vehicle not ordered by government.Once again this authmobile dealer without document whatsoever on contract suing government on maintenance of vehicle for the state worth GHc16million in 2010 and now demanding judgement debt of GHc 612million and a minister came to justify the amount claiming the company deserve that.It is mind boggling to donors that Mills/Mahama and Mahama/Amissah inherit debt of Ghc8.9billion from 1957 to 2008 and balloon it to GHc 43.9billion in 2013 without anything to show off as acomplishment.But they are proud of and claiming credit,for payment of judgement debt and finance Guinea fowls that do live in Ghana and planting trees in harmattan season.Nurses,Teachers,Doctors,contractors and Districts common fund for development has not been paid.NDC claim their slogan is people matter,you matter.On October 1 Chronicle headlines Akim Tafo health centre ;A fatal disaster awaiting and billions of tax payers money are use to pay judgement debt and denial them health infrastructural,water,education and roads.Why wouldn't donors anger on Ghana terrible economy?Are they fools to NDC and Mahama?.

1.Late Atta Mills/Mahamah govt rushed to implement the idea of SSS which is good on the surface and not even their own devoid of diligence and Common Sense approach.
Thinking it would score them tremendous political points to promote the NDC party in the eyes of public.
2.Through the EC. Mahamah Created additional electoral areas,more MPs and therefore more pressure on the Wage bill.
3.Salaries of the Executive,Legislators,etc were increased with the "bread crumbs" that fell from the table for all govt workers.
4.Mahamah's administration employs more Ministers and Deputies than necessary,just to Satisfy Party faithfuls,Cronyism etc.which in effect put more weight on the Wage bill.
So what do you expect.
