The circumstances for terrorist attacks in Ghana and Kenya are very different. Kenya's intervention in Somalia directly hit Alshabab the Somali Islamic fundamentalist group. Again, Kenya shares border with Somalia with tens if not hundreds of thousands of Somali refugees in Kenya. It is therefore far easier for Alshabab terrorists to attack Kenya than Ghana. Whilst I do not discount the possibility of Somali fundamentalist traveling to Ghana to mount attacks, it is less likely than the case in Kenya.
Yes, Ghana is involved in the fight against terrorism in Mali but Ghana is not the only African country involved. Yes, the risk is there and Ghanaian authorities and Ghanaians should be on the guard, but the Kenyan official is just scaremongering. It is unnecessary.

If terrorists target Ghana, it will be disastrous because who can and will confronts them? Look at how Fulanis are terrorizing our local farmers etc yet, our security personnel are absolutely clueless on how to handle the situation.
I wish this may not be true but if it is, then we should all be vigilant. The best the government should do is to place the Muslims under the microscope. This is not an attempt to marginalize them but as precautionary measure.
Look at how Al Shabab infiltrate Kenya's security and went on that deadly spree. They rented a premises in the Westgate Mall for over a year all under the very nose of Kenyan authorities so, why weren't they spotted or why didn't they act on the intelligent given to them by the international security experts?
Our borders are too porous and that should a focus of attention and also, our immigrations authorities should be on the offense.

Where is Kwaku Baako who thinks he knows everything, including spiritual and security issues. Kwaku, my advice is that any person who portrays himself as knowing everything is half-baked. Leave spiritual issues to those who can see with their "SINGLE EYE". 5. OUR SPECIAL MILITARY/SECURITY FORCES SHOULD NOT BE KEPT IN THE BARRACKS BUT BE DEPLOYED INTO THE REGIONS/DISTRICTS TO GO AFTER SUSPECTS AND PREVENT THEM FOR STRIKING (LOOK, IN COMBATING TERROR, THE SOLUTION IS TO PREVENT THEM FROM ACTING...PREVENTION IS THE KEY WORD).

They must also be humble enough to cooperate with foreign intelligence agencies like the CIA, MI5 and the French. We must put plain cloths security and increase police presence at our public places like the supermarkets, markets and stadiums. The public must be educated to be observant and report to the police any suspicious looking people and unattended packages. The attack can be in any form including suicide bombing. Accra is the most likely city to be hit. We should also secure our borders especially the northern border. Let's take these treats seriously and be prepared for it. Kenya ignored it at a high price.

Even some people have lost their sense of reasoning to the extent that they deemed the danger serious. Some empty heads are talking of NDC/NPP politics. Ghana's education since the 1990s has taken a nose-dive that because there are so many higher institutions such as polytechnics and universities thereby allowing people who could not have gained admission to even secondary schools in the 50s and 60s are now able to assess higher education; but at what cost? Every mediocre now claims he is educated but their level of reasoning is nothing to write home about. They can not contribute positively to Ghana's development. Just go on the net and you will read the contributions of some of these young lads and you will understand where I'm coming from. If you only think and wish evil you will reap disasters five fold. So young folk, be warned.
