Unless it is the usual NDC propaganda, otherwise Alhaji Mohammed Naziru's response deosn't make sense;

Naziru said the following;
1. “his party does not have time to bribe people for votes because the NDC was nationalistic in nature, where everybody is allowed to play vital roles in the party."

2. He urged the NDC to consider the current situation in NPP as divine intervention from God to cause confusion in the main opposition party saying, “this will give us more years to prepare and develop the country very well for the future.”

There is certainly no party in Ghana that prevents some Ghanaian nationals from playing vital roles in their parties. It is a completely senseless response.

Again what is happening in the NPP that Naziru describes as God's intervention to give NDC more years to develop the country, for the 5 years that NDC came to power Ghanaians only remember them for, power crises ('dumso'), payment of dubious judgement debt, corruption etc. Is that the development God has given NDC time to give to Ghanaians. If indeed God has given NDC time then it is to expose their incompetence, lies, corruption, arrogance etc. What is annoying is the fact it is a state owned newspaper (Ghanaian times) publishing this crap. Did they find it necessary to publish what Ayikoi Otoo said in the first place? No, because it came from the opposition NPP, but they find it necessary to publish a senseless response because it is from the NDC.

Lawyer Ayikoi Otoo is insulting the intelligence of over five million Ghanaians who voted for the NDC. Is he implying that the NDC paid bribes to all the five million people who voted for the NDC? This is outrageous.

Who did not see the GHc5.00 notes distributed in the rural areas. Don't deny this. It will be an insult to us. What I can say is that the NPP might be involved in similar tactics but it may no be enough to win them the elections. How come the strong economy you touted in in the last quarter of 2012 is on its knees early 2013? You used GYEEDA and RLG to all the rough tactics in the elections and every Ghanaian knows it. I dont pity any politician.

Lawyer Ayikoi Otoo, a former attorney general in NPP era was rejected by his own people from going the parliament. He is considered a traitor by his own people (Gas) for defending Kennedy Agyapong, the man who wanted the Ashantis to kill Gas in Kumasi. NDC is formidable party that has come to stay. NDC is not tribalistic; NDC accepts criticism; NDC is party covering the whole Ghana, not like NPP who looks to Ashanti and part Eastern Region; NDC doesn't have history of bomb throwing; NDC will not connive with foreign governments to bring down their country government as they did to Dr Kwame Nkrumah.

Ayikoi Otoo is a confused man. On one breath he says NPP won the 2012 elections but the EC stole it for the NDC, hence the protracted SC petition which, the NPP lost the verdict. Now Ayikoi Otoo is also saying that NDC used bribe to get votes - "money and a lot of items" were given to Ghanaians for their votes - to win the election. This presupposes Ayikoi Otoo is acknowledging NDC actually won the election but with a bribe to the electorate. Thus, the reasons given in his party's petition to the Supreme Court were faulty in the first place. Therefore, he has exonerated the Electoral Commission(EC) and its Chairman of an offence as has the SC.
