  What's in a name? - " A Rose with a bad name will smell as sweet". This is childish criticism. Whether it was called 'Ministry of Women and Children Affairs (MOWAC)' by NPP or 'Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection' by NDC, the creation of a separate Ministry to serve only women and children was an election ploy for women's votes. What specific achievements can the ministry boast of?. For instance, exempting pregnant women from national health insurance premium is a very bad public policy. You should have spent the time explaining what/how your NGO hopes to achieve, instead of such childish criticism. Mr. Davis "used the opportunity to advise women and children to rise to the occasion and contribute meaningfully to society" - What the hell is that ?

I think the government's move to make the ministry more encompassing by changing the name is a move in the right direction. Call it Ministry of Social Protection if you want or Gender and children. Isn't it ironic that the exclusion that NIMBUS and other NGOs are fighting is what the NPP lawyer wants perpetuated by maintianing the status quo.

  Instead of the NPP taking great note about what's going on, some of the party members (leaders) have allowed pettiness to take control. The NDC is seeking to destroy everything they perceive to have come from an Akan man. And they're doing it boldly while the NPP looks on sheepishly!
  
  We often hear some NPP scouts claim they know better that all because of who they're, with some boasting of their certificates positions or affiliations in society etc. I wonder if they could foresee all the little tricks that NDC have used to outwit them, to the detriment of the party.
  
  We've some so-called academicians trying to stop the call for the party's early congress to elect presidential candidate and party's regional officers or appointees etc. The task ahead is enormous and it's time tackled things head-on; we cannot continue watch Ghanaians suffer while we remain on the sidelines. We respect every member with their academic credentials but the task ahead is a "common sense" thing!
  
  To ensure victory, we need to begin our party's "mass education" of the people of Ghana. Some of our leaders still believe we have a solid support base in many places and that the electorate will make their minds in the last days of election. It's absolutely false! We have to plan on many things---fixing the grass roots recruitment and involvement is crucial.
  
  Our party's message of hope and country's direction must be deep-rooted, where the ordinary citizen or rural folks know the kind of situation they're in. Things continue to fall apart for Ghanaians but the level of ignorance within the populace is very high. It won't take 9 months of education to open people's eye or understanding. We better watch out.
  
  Let's plan for the grass roots education and election of party's district offices before December to clear the path of an early congress; we cannot do everything next year. Let the ordinary people bring their ideas and grievances so together, we may find solutions our problems. Our vision and mission is to rescue Ghana from the clutches of evil people. The "Sasabonsam" party is making life unbearable; Ghana is heading nowhere under the incompetent John Mahama-led NDC govt.
  
  We definitely need early congress and better not fail our teeming supporters and party base. The earlier we plan ahead, the better it would be for us to
