i think taxes shd include all workers.politicians with the exemptions of the president and his vice the rest shd pay for everything they use fm rent to phonebills.nothing shd be free for them.

I just get angry when I read how MPs and government appointees are paid, and the allowances they receive and also the fat ESBs for doing nothing sensible while the hard working workers live on peanuts, always told to tighten their belts. I just feel sorry for them too. I wish the prez, the MPS and all other appointees are also put on the scale that other workers receive without any perks. Then they can make useful policies and pass sensible legislation. Well, people should now learn and be wise when your MPs who live in opulence come to you to thumbprint for them to win the election. If situations do not improve, vote the government too out of power for a change. Can we now understand why the Ghanaian worker does not put up the best performance? Like the Russians say, "if they pretend to pay us, we also pretend to work." I still cry for my beloved country.

People would always complain. Actually I feel sorry for these workers. How could someone survive GHC300 a month what I spend only on food less than a week? But wait, is that not what they want? Even if they have the choice, to choose free education for their children, they would still vote for people who would rather make their life hard. They knew that and yet they voted for them.
don't say not all voted for these incomptent idiots. Ghanaians voted for them. Enjoy the hardship until maybe you all learn sense. I had always respected Ghanaians as intelligent but this time am sorry I erred. Ghanaians are very peaceful but unintelligent. Sorry.

Even how much does a student nurse takes after single spine as allowance. Is it not 380 Ghana cedis after 10% increment. Perhaps the person has borrowed too much from the bank that after deductions he takes that amount. But i can say it on authority that no surgeon takes less than 2000 Ghana cedis a month. Cheap paper, next time cross check your facts from the Controller. What is even the market premium of this so called surgeon is not about 90% of their basic salary. Cheap propogandist paper.

Should a surgeon take 2000 Cedis while an MP takes about twice that excluding his other allowances and even his ESBs? Some of you will never be honest to yourselves because of party affiliation and praise songs you sing to politicians to get attention. Do you think all workers are foolish to always go on strike for increase in wages? Put yourself in the shoes of a new teacher or nurse whose salaries are delayed for 22 months at times. Have you thought of the recent increase in utility services? Are they commensurate with the wages paid them? Just be realistic. The paper could be a propaganda one but what has been printed is largely the truth.

How can someone with base pay of GHS 411 receive a net pay of GHS 380 and another with a base pay of GHS 404 end up with GHS 100 after taxes? Are you that dumb to the math?

Nobody is saying the grass is green but stop being lazy and do a proper reporting by cross-checking your facts.

Well what a pathetic story to read.

Some people may assume this to be a politically motivated article,but the truth is,there in reality many people that are consigned to lives of slavery to poverty and there is nothing they can do about it because of lack of information.

For me, I think most people go about these issues the wrong way. It is good to complain because our leaders owe us some responsibilities for the promises they made to us and for the fact that the National cake is for us all and not just a few.

However, the reason why I feel we should not use all our energy complaining about things we cannot change is that man by nature is evil so we shouldn't expect so much good from them so to speak.

Personally, I used to have such an aweful outlook on life-I grind about every little thing till I learnt that all such is wasted time, money and effort. I learnt that rather than complaining, I can start another stream of income using the internet and that has made most of the difference in my life and that of my team members.

I invite all who are tired of complaining and will love the prospect of starting a business using the computer to get in touch with me and I will lead such write in a legitimate business that is impossible not to make money so that together we build for the future where everything is possible.
