If the corruption that endured under the CPP had been at the levels we live in today there would never had been any money, land and or property left for anyone, from the coup leaders to all the other coup leaders that came after to steal.
The shame about Ghanaians who derive their hatred and venom from their tribal leaders is that they see no shame in their talk and actions neither will they ever accept being greedy. We arrived at the 1966 coup because of greed cloaked in freedoms and multiparty system of governance. Yet the very people who talked and continue to ingratiate themselves in the folly of multi-party diatribe are the very people who are intolerant in the NPP and NDC alike. They engage in acts to suppress the freedoms of the rank and file of party members to run for party positions and or make changes in their man-made party rules. How can people like J.J. Rawlings, general Mosquito, Sir John, Nana Akufo-Addo and other fools for our leaders talk about freedoms and a multi political party system when they are neither willing to accept the results from ballot boxes, accept rulings from the judiciary, execute people for any sorry excuse, give away tax payer money to friends and cronies, give away national assets and sell others on the cheap and have the audacity to talk about principles of freedom and or democratic values?
Sammy Awuku, like his masters in the NPP here in Ghana and in New York continue to exemplify the ills and immaturity of the Ghanaian mental development that gave rise to the bribery that persuaded some to believe it is better to destroy Ghana through an overthrow of its leaders. The very nations Akufo-Addo, Danquah and others claim to look up to for direction live in nations where suppression of others prevailed while they created the nations we have come to see as shining examples of democratic nations. Could a two (2) to five (5) year period where the opposition under the CPP era not have engaged in intellectual fights with their adversaries in the CPP? Could the UP/matemeho/NPP band not have proven itself via improvement of their lot in the enclaves they reside to show the rest of Ghana the systems they hoped to import unto the Ghanaian scene? Were there government overthrows in the USA, Canada, UK and all the other nations we pretend to emulate? Instead what we have are half of Ghanaians in the Diaspora, especially those ingrates of the NPP in New York who continue to dump unwanted items from the USA in Ghana for a buck and the NPP and NDC clowns in Ghana who steal any and all things government that is not bolted down.
We have created a nation of thieves, a society that has accepted immoral acts as acceptable moral norms, a very rich thieving few who cannot account and or justify their wealth to themselves but for whom the Ghanaian child, woman and man worship for their ill-gotten wealth. Yes Ghana is broke but we became broke because the new Ghana founded on a rotten concept in 1966 sow seeds that will continue to reap greed and animosity as our national moral fiber.

Both the NPP and NDC parties are the most CORRUPT and USELESS parties our nation have had the misfortune of being ruled by.

Corruption can be fought if we treat it as a "two way street". It takes two to tango........and more importantly, as a cancer that wrecks nations.

Every citizen in every nation, if given the opportunity can be corrupt. But, if the law works effectively and everyone watches over each others' evil acts of corruption, then it can be reduced drastically.

I honestly don't believe it can be eliminated for good.

However, I dare say, our children as from nursery age should be well educated to take pride in the nation their forefathers fought for. And by that, I do not mean this breed of people in our society today. (Please don't get me wrong).

We need to wash our children's brains with patriotic feats via our good historical facts and positive personalities that is required for building a nation of incorruptible people all through their educative years.

An education that makes them know who they really are and feeds them with the evils effects of CORRUPTION - that needs to be uprooted and exposed anywhere they see it, at every stage of their lives. In our own 'lingos'!!!

Our citizens needs to be rewarded for fighting corruption and living corruption free lives. That is what competitions and promoting anti-corruption comes in to overtake the likes of Miss Ghana, Miss Universe Ghana and all that rubbish!!!

Our citizens should and must be rewarded with cars, houses etc. for fighting and exposing corruption in every corner of our nation..........

I would like to suggest we start from the parliament house and ask all Ghanaian citizens to stop calling MPs - "honourables"......that in itself corrupts their minds.

That is when we may start seeing some progress. We need to start from scratch with our kids.....The adults now in Ghana? Hmmmm....The civil servants, market women, house-helps, carpenters, tax-collectors, bar staff .... Hmmmmm!!!! I wonder!
