  If Kumasi need £16.m why don't you go to Asantehene's Palace where he and gov't pay Judges bribe. 5m. bribe each could have paid for that? abolutely insane.

  KMA are just bogus people. They dont care about the people living in the metropolis. their main concern and priority is to solicit funds in the name of the people but for their own gains. Its quite sad to observe how people have to queue in a line to take transport home after work. Its quite sad how their corrupt people harass poor people on the street. Please let the people feel they belong to a big community that cares about wellbeing. Address the transportation problem, that is the work of such assembly in any advance state, Remember you can help change Ghana

  This is yet another proof of a failed decentralized rural and urban planning and development scheme put together by people too stupid to think before acting.
  The knock against the old centralized scheme was that the district commissioners wielded too much power and were far removed from the people they served. In its place, the non thinking educated and ignorant politicians of the day decided to embark on a decentralized scheme that not only added more bureaucratic levels to an over bloated government but did so without knowing where revenues would come from to pay these added civil servants. To add insult to the injury, these clowns of so-called leaders and architects of the decentralized scheme failed to assess the dangers of the wage disparities that existed in Ghana between cities and rural areas and or between farmers and fishermen on one hand and the white/blue collar workers at the cities/metropolitan areas in Ghana.
  Kumasi the seat of government for all things Ashanti with all its gold and cocoa and other valuables not to mention people who are good at making money is incapable of meeting any goals on its own without government help or cannot provide needed infrastructures in cities and towns for its subjects. Yet it is within these very failed regions and a failed national policy that people in the Ashanti region would accept the promise of a free education from a government that cannot effectively collect taxes and or manage the revenues it gets.
  But as Kumasi and its management cry for money, the existing scheme ensures that the Asantehene gets a cut in every land sold to fund his acquired properties in South Africa and in UK where he pays taxes but cannot and will not pay taxes to save his own kingdom. Yes we are truly smart in Ghana.

  I think the first and topmost priority of the kma should be sanitation. The kind of public toilets currently in use in Ghana is not just outmoded but a big shame and an eyesore, not to even mention the health hazard that comes with it. We will be better off if the KMA will stop any other investment for the next 2 years and build modern water closet public toilets befitting the statue of Kumasi will be a better investment.
