These 'vermins' are being dealt with leniently by the courts and the government.They are given custodial sentences and the government has told them that it does not carry out death sentences.Only the death sentence is the most fitting punishment for armed robbers
and any punishment less than that is unacceptable to the majority of ghanaians.Why should the tax payers money be spent on these 'vermins' in prison.It is a very unproductive way of using taxes paid by poor ghanaians.

The first and most important responsibility and duty of the government is to provide security.Interior security to include air,maritime and land borders is an unique service that only failed states depend on another country to provide.The Ghana governments from both parties have failed us woefully in this endeavor and must be compelled to correct this potentially destabilizing lapse.One need not look far to understand how dangerous and destructive weak security can be to a nation.I offer Mali,a peace loving people with appetite for culture and football equalling that of Ghana but a soft under belly of internal security till some armed thugs arrived from Libya.Instead of the Malian government making a turn around and retooling to immediately arrest the problem they went about with the same old fashion "same old,same old" prompting the military to take over which cut them off from the rest of the world and we all know the rest.Mali is only the recent West African country to fall due to lack of security.BLAMING THE UNDERTRAINED,UNDERSTAFFED,ILLEQUIPED AND EXTREMELY POORLY MANAGED SECURITY FORCES IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE SOLUTION.We have the war monger on our western border aggitating for trouble while France continue to arm them with offensive weapons and we are stuck with successive governments who can not even equip our police force enough to protect the nation from a rather low grade threat from an untrained,undisciplined and badly armed criminals.Security is paramount and if we do not treat it as such and add it to our essential tools for nation building it won't matter how high we build,it will crumble back down.Thank you.Long live Ghana.
