You are right. The more you shout praise songs to those in authority, the earlier you get a position in government. Make more noise, even if they are useless, and the reward of position will be handed over to you.

You appoint low quality, low calibre characters like Amaliba to an important board like the STC and when the problems begin to mount you look around for scapegoats to blame! Disgraceful! Ghana can do better.

You see Amaliba is rewarded for talking. It is unfortunate Kofi Adam is said to belong to Rawlings camp and so cannot be rewarded. Otherwise the more you talk the more opportunities come your name.

Amaliba came into prominence during the election petition; even that, it was for the bad reasons. There was never any sence in his pronouncements for the duration of the trial. So one wonders what qualities he would take with him to the STC board.

IT is inconcievable for Government institutions and companies which are always to be heard either broke or being mismanaged,comparable with private enterprises which are booming with prifts without these kind of bad reports.In Germany where these buses are imported to beef up the STC are solely run by private individuals or companies with overwhelming profits and are very reliable.In Ghana the demise of every company are as a result of horrible scandals of mismanagement with its attendants of corruption which are the oder of the day by both senior officials, junior officials as well sa workers at various sites and workshops where these buses are maintained or repaired.while the white color officials steal with their pens and brains the workers also doing the same thing with their spanners and other tools to steal spare parts essentially needed to put the vehicles on road to serving the ever hungry passengers who prefare travelling with the Government tansport,this name which has been associated with this corporation since the time of Nana Fredua and others who did their best in those days.One problem which are repeated by suceeding Governments are the question using these companies as dumping grounds for political apointees and other managerial staff to overburding the companies to the detriment of the workers,the example is the State Transport company which finds itself in this equation as result of the top which is heavier than the core which will inevitably fall again if the old system will not be changed for the better.Now let us look at the number of political appointees who are in the good books of the Govt been apointed as directors of the company whose renumerations will indefatigably affect the slim resources of the company if,it is giong to be bourn by the company.My last suggession is that,it may sound insulting but this is the truth.The new management should see the Director of the Mechanical LLoyd Mr Darko just across the street from their main gate to ask for tit bits for the soccess of the company.

This man we unfortunate have as an imposed President is awarding positions to cronies as if the nation's managing affairs is his social domestic affairs without considering the negative effect and the lost to the state that will cause us as result of the inexperience of who is being appointed to which position.

Immediately after the guinea fowl Atuguba bias and kinsman support Supreme Court judgement Mahama is giving away state appointments to his privately defending lawyers as if plugging mangoes from his backyard to his cronies.

Last time it was Lithur being appointed to chair the Ghana Airways Ltd board after shockingly dismissing the entire membership of the old board.

Mahama whose turn next? May be Kofi Adams and Haruna Attas? Shambolic!!!!
