We need to know the veracity of this story and to ascertain what actually happened. If the truck driver in question is truly innocent or not at fault in this case and the minister and his entourage were the aggressors who erred, then the minister does not deserve to be a public servant let alone a serving minister of state and should be forced to resign or sacked for his misuse of his powers and the law of the land.

As I said, we need to know the facts but if the minister erred, and has unlawfully subjected another citizen of Ghana to undue punishment, he should pay dearly for it. We must not tolerate this type of behaviour by anyone and no one should be seen to be above the law of the land!!

Such acts of brutality has no place in a "democratic country" Yes, the driver was right in questioning the minister. However. the minister, his body guard has no right in physically assaulting the driver. If this is the norm in Ghana, then our understanding of HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES should be thrown out of the door.. The minister needs to apologize to the driver of the truck and actually pay for his medical care as a result of the severe beatings he was subjected to.

Mr. Samuel Sarpong and his accomplices should be charged with assault, rioting, kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment and extortion, among other things, the rule of law should apply equally to rich and poor alike, otherwise, anytime a politician's car collides with anyone's car, the masses have a right to beat the politician and have him arrested until he pays to fix the other person's car. The name of the game is:'STREET JUSTICE"!

NDC&NPP, are messing up an extremely beautiful and wealthy country, with their blatant animosity toward the masses, judges handing down lengthy prison sentences to poor people for minor offenses, policemen using police stations as bases for criminal activities, plus daylight highway robbery by said police on drivers and trotro passengers alike, politicians like Mr. Sarpong & co. Who don't give a hoot about law much less order.
